Situation 1:
Malzahn drops a couple this year due to DEFs figuring out ways to stop HUNH. Eventually Plateaus as a 3rd-place SECw team.
Which IMO is not a win for me.

Situation 2:
Malzahn creates an unstoppable monster, is considered to be a coaching genius and receives numerous offers from other programs that may seem more desirable to him. He leaves.
I am not that obsessed that if he left i would cry about it. I would still be a little upset.

Situation 3:
Up-Tempo offenses become more successful and NFL teams start looking for coaches to lead them whether as an OC or a HC. Malzahn, if he continues his success, he will be a top target.

Situation 4: Malzahn goes back to high school and Auburn hires Petrino.

Where would he go that would be more desirable to him ? It would have to be inside the SEC, because going to another league would be a step down.

I like this more.

I can see Gus staying at Auburn for a long time, even with great success.

Situation 4:
Saban retires, Gus goes to Bama, Freeze wins two womens BB national championships, Bielema goes to Auburn and makes them play "man-style, American" football, and I'm no longer constipated.

Situation 5.1 - Gus leaves Auburn to become a Buddhist monk, Saban retires and is replaced by Tommy Tuberville, Gene Chizik is hired by Auburn.

unfortunately this is true... fandom aside, as a business man/coach anyone of these options holds more value than AU with the exception of Arky(that would be personal) and i dont think Penn St will be up there to much longer...

get mad all you want, it was a simple curiosity question. didnt mean to rustle

Why would those be more desirable ?
1. Money- AU can match any amount those other schools offer
2. Facilities- AU can match any of those schools facilities.
3. Recruiting Base- There are more DI Athletes within 250 miles of AU than any of Those Schools.
4. Fan Support- you tell me.

Situation 5.1(a) - Gus leaves Auburn to coach the Dallas Cowboys; Bruce Pearl takes on double-duties as Auburn's basketball and football coaches, multiple MNCs ensue; Alabama hires Phil Jackson, who is knocking on death's door, gives him a fedora, and builds him a statue; Mike Price emerges as the coach of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and they win back to back MNCs and rustle jimmies all across the Southeast

Honestly, don't you realize that this is the only outcome here? No style, offensive nor defensive, has endured except the very basics (blocking and tackling). DWI
