He's supposed to call me tonight. It's only 5:15 p.m. out here. I appreciate the word and I'll check over there before heading out of the office in the next 2 hours.

n the surface Arkansas coaches look to hold more National titles pretty easily

Is this the best you could do to come up with something to get some attention?...

Lots of claims on guys that never even coached at Arkansas, or guys that were there for only one season.

All those coaches equal just 12 bowl wins and zero NC for the "state flagship school" in over 100 years. Whoo hoo!

Well if it was not for Frank Broyles then Jimmy Johnson would have been coach of the Razorbacks but for some reason he told him that he needed more experience. Then JJ brought in Miami into the late 80s and kicked pawpaw around pretty good. Oh well we would not have Petrino now if FB was still in charge of things.

Nope, sorry. Unbiased Bama fans know the hypocrisy of claiming 1964.

Good try though Pie, I've missed you in Arky threads. You've been slacking.

I don't have any problem when Arkansas people brag about Coach Bryant being from Arkansas, but, be realistic. He left Arkansas after high school and never returned as far as football is concerned.

He played, was a grad assistant, and assistant at Alabama. Arkansas may have made him tough but Bama made him a football coach.

Well the AP and UPI both said Bama. Some unknown named Arkansas. Arkansas' claim would be like if Bama were to beat LSU in the BCS and Houston had remained undefeated and the Houston Chronical named UH national champs.

Talk all you want but only Arkansas fans claim the Hogs won in 64.

We're going to go through this again? There's no random claiming to it. It's an AP and Coaches' poll title.

Pete Carroll spent some time in 'nam, but most schools have had a shite ton of great assistants.

This is true.

So, since Joe Gibbs was an assistant, do we have to claim Kyle Busch?

Sorry but I will argue ad nauseam that you can not change your logic year to year and claim "it was the system at the time". '64 we were undefeated, we beat the team you lost to. Stop fapping to your trophies and accept a consistent stream of logic.
