There was talk a few years ago about going independent.

Yuck.

The Big 12 is the obvious landing place for Arky. But that would mean choosing football and basketball over all other sport, which isn't the best move.

Arkansas helped set the template: It severed ancient rivalries and forsook geographical proximity to gain stability and the riches of huge television contracts

Not sure about this. The SEC probably did pay more back then, but the gap was nothing like today. Stability was the main concern, because we knew Texas was working on destroying the SWC.

Who was a Big 8 AAU school ? Neb and Mo, maybe Col and there are several SEC schools who are rated higher than them, though I know that AAU does not refer directly to a schools rating. Anyway, their rejection based on that seems hilariously elitist. The Big 8 was probably the lowest rated scholastic conference.

Hmm, maybe it was the browns victory last night but I almost consider this type of article a good thing. Sort of a rock bottom situation and oft times so much negative attention eventually causes a cosmic boom and good things happen.

I'm being semi-serious there too, and I've been negative as all hell the past 2 weeks or so.

I agree that you can get back in the game.....but it won't be with Chad Morris. You may have incompetence from another level or 2 up but whoever made the decision to hire him does not have good judgment even though the guess is a major part of the motivation was Texas HS talent. But he does NOT look like the man at ALL. His record at SMU was nothing. I did not get it.

Anyway wish you well. I'm aware of your top 25 history.

Considering what a shite show the main NYT reporting is, I can’t even begin to imagine how bad their sports reporting would be.

Thought it was legal in Colorado, and some others.?

I was talking about authorities. I see people all the time smoking those cannabis oil pens or even joints in open public and authorities don’t really do shite

Of course not. You'd rather believe mythology.
