Yes but LSU has plenty of players in Lousiana to make up for any Texas players that choose A&M.

I'm not arguing that, I'm arguing over the line about players who want to be in the SEC. Those players that were good enough would normally choose LSU. Lets also not pretend like Arkansas was ever pulling in great recruits consistently out of Texas before A&M joined. But yes I agree that you can assume recruiting in Texas was hurt after A&M joined the conference. You could also make the argument that losing to them so many years in a row has hurt just as much.

Actually he answered his own question in that article.

If Arkansas had not made the jump to the SEC who is to say they would have found a soft landing spot when the Big 8 cherry picked the SWC?

We had our feelers out to the Big 8 as well as the SEC when it became evident the SWC was doomed and what we got back is that the Big 8 wasn't keen on adding a non AAU school.

Now the Big 12 would crawl over broken glass to get Arkansas, but back then they were sitting pretty. The SEC, on the other hand, really wanted the Hogs.

As the writer stated in that article... we could have wound up like poor Houston. Great in a G5 conference but left looking in at P5 schools.

I wonder if there are any Baws on staff at The NY Times? Or is it just Whole Foods hipsters from Brooklyn with their Northwestern and Syracuse degrees?

Cannabis is against the law in every state of the union.

Sometimes people care about other people breaking the law, sometimes they don't. It usually depends on their biases and ulterior motives.

Broyles already confirmed Arkansas would have been left out of the big 12. It was the only move for Arkansas.

I know bruh .... and I get it. Y'all have been thinking all this time that y'all had been doing better than us. I was trying to protect you from the reality of it all.

Listen, we made it, we're in. We, both programs, have contributed national championships to the league, provided some fun times ... I mean, we cool, you know what I mean?

Don't let'em see you flinch amigo. Go back at'em hard ... let'em know they can kiss your lilly white Arkie arse. Especially the uppity frick coon asses. Take absolutely no shite from them.

Learn to redirect. Make a play off of the Mizzou SJW shitstika gay thing and the A&M jizz jar gay thing. You can do it ... you used to be thr champ Lat.

Now stay focused and get back in there and show'em your tusks! Woooooooo pig sooooooeeeeeeeeee!

Hmm, maybe it was the browns victory last night but I almost consider this type of article a good thing. Sort of a rock bottom situation and oft times so much negative attention eventually causes a cosmic boom and good things happen.

I'm being semi-serious there too, and I've been negative as all hell the past 2 weeks or so.

Yet we went 7-1 in 2006 and didn't even make a BCS bowl lol.

If not for our hideous bowl record we'd probably have a few more top 10 finishes, I'd imagine some of our teams finished right outside of it after the bowls were completed.
