Actually I don't really care, but I do love selective outrage.
All of that extra practice and 7 games with pros??? Hope they don't kick y'all out, fine and suspend your Coach for trying this Arkansas.

As dumb as it is, the rule only applies to NFL, NBA, and WNBA.

By voting to settle the House class action and agreeing to NIL and revenue sharing, the NCAA and conferences are solely responsible for creating the opportunity for someone to challenge the “bright”line between professional and college sports. They knew at the time, and still know, that NIL was just a façade to allow them to deny that college athletes were being paid to play.
"As a result of the NCAA’s and conferences’ decision to settle the House class action, we have college athletes making more money than players on NFL and NBA rosters. Therefore, without being intellectually dishonest, the line that was so bright for many years is now very fuzzy - or perhaps nonexistent - and can no longer be the single factor that distinguishes pros athletes from college athletes.
So how does one define the line that’s considered “the Rubicon” of college sports?"

So help me understand that. If a guy gets drafted out of HS makes AAA doesn’t cut it for the bigs. He can return to college baseball cause it’s just not part of the rule/policy?

The exclusion of the MLB in all of this is obviously very stupid, but it's what the entirety of the SEC - including LSU - voted for.

So, for the sake of argument, you could play 3 years of college baseball, one year of minor league baseball, then return to college and there's no rule to stop that?
Or, could a high school kid play three years of minor league ball, then go to college for 4-5 years after he's done?

They claim Kiffin violated SEC Bylaw 14.01.01 by way of violating NCAA bylaws, by allegedly recruiting these players before their "pro rule" was ever created. By that merit, Bediako also violated 14.01.01 by way of violating NCAA bylaws.

Who knows… can we talk about RJ Luis Jr?
Luis was the 2025 Big East Player of the Year at St. John’s. He left college for the 2025 NBA Draft, went undrafted, then signed a two-way NBA contract with the Utah Jazz. His rights later went to Boston, and he spent time under contract with the Celtics organization.
To make it easy for you:
He signed an NBA contract.
He was part of NBA organizations with Utah and Boston.
He played in three NBA preseason games for Boston, and got injured.
Then in May 2026, LSU and Will Wade brought Luis back to college basketball, knowing that under the NCAA's existing interpretation he was ineligible because he had signed an NBA contract. Luis went to court seeking eligibility.
Luis won a preliminary injunction on August 24 and wait for it….
A LOUISIANA judge ruled that the NCAA could not prevent him from practicing and playing for LSU while the case proceeds.
