I dont mean to continue to laugh at you, but you keep saying this hilariously stupid things.

Since we're on the topic of SEC Championships, I'll go back to the formation of the title game. (Which may even violate the criteria of overlapping "dynasties")
Oh, we're talking about the championship game? The Big 12 didn't even have one of those in 2011.
How can you play in the NCG if you don't win your conference championship game?

You mean other teams that have had dynasties?

Is Alabama really a dynasty?? quote: What did the non biased NCAA poll conclude? A non-biased poll?? lol It concluded that Oklahoma State had no chance at playing for a National Championship because they weren't pretty enough... Alabama beat LSU but we'll never know how LSU or Alabama would have matched up against Okie State It's the biggest failing of the college football postseason. Before USC lost to Texas in '05, they were considered the best team of all time by many...ESPN had a special on it. And then they lost to Vince Young and Texas... Its a lot better when the games are played on the field, and not voted on
Lulz as an lsu fan I'd hope you would laugh at those SOS poles from 2011 with yalls schedule. Guess not.
Each team had one loss, one was to a shitty team and the other was in ot to the best team in the nation at the time. If you are going to diminish bama's right to be there, then you are just shitting on lsu's season as well.

And like Alabama did to Notre Dame.
And that's the real reason y'all wish it had been OSU instead of 'Bama. It's OK to admit that.

Thats why I think Bama really succeeds is outside LSU they play cupcakes for the title.

Also, every time Alabama played the #1 or #2 team, they slaughtered them. Badly. So GTFO
except when they played at home vs. LSU lol

And if the #2 team didn't play in the game... and the conference of the #3 team didn't even have a conference championship game...
then I guess we need to name #1 the de facto national championship.

I didn't read the whole thread, only got to the second page. I would say Alabama is definitely in Dynasty mode right now. 3 our of 4 has only happened once before. Plus, there isn't any signs of slowing down. LSU fans, if your Tigers were doing this right now, would you consider it a dynasty? (yes, yes you would)

quote:The only time Alabama lost a regular season game by 7+ under Saban, was 10/9/12 against THE South Carolina Gamecocks. Shameless plug bitches.
Just saying, in 5 years they've won 12, 14, 10, 12, and 13 games, with 3 championships. 61-7 is impressive. And like I said, the last 4 losses were 5 points or less.

Again, wasn't talking regular season

In all fairness tho, the B12-2 plays a 9 game round robin schedule so they don't need a CCG. They crown a Champ by the regular season schedule....

And like Alabama did to Notre Dame
very true...
the media built up Notre Dame's defense...but it was proved to be a joke
more media hype...in a playoff, Notre Dame would have been gone in the first round...
Georgia, LSU, Florida, Louisville, Clemson, FSU, all would have beaten the Irish

BCS pits two teams deemed best in country against each other regardless of any other affiliation.
I'll try to simplify it.
Look at BCS standings, pick top two teams.
If that is too difficult try this.
Slot 1 - Pick from all conference champions
Slot 2 - Pick from remaining conference champions, plus whoever you determine the second best team from the conference that team picked for slot 1 came from.

well, you could plug in TEAM X for the argument of this thread...I don't agree that TEAM X is a dynasty yet

most people consider the BCS a complete failure, hence the new playoff
