Is Alabama still really good and just flying under the radar or have they genuinely taken a huge step back? Nobody is talking about Alabama and they were the golden boy for a long time.

Even if that’s true… “flying under the radar”…. That’s exactly why KD won’t make it.

Bama isn’t a let’s “fly under the radar” type of program, nor does any bluebood want to be that type of program.

Hard to say we are "flying under the radar" being ranked in the top 10, and having just demolished our first SEC opponent, but if we are, then that just shows you how big the expectations are at Bama.

I say this because when you watch football coverage, Alabama is rarely even mentioned this season, which is weird because you are ranked in the top 10.

Whose radar? The rant is obsessed with nonsense galore. Nothing new. The Shorthorns and Buckeyes had a big game. When's the next time the Shorthorns have that kind of mega moment? If you answer Red River I would say not so fast. LSU Vs Ole Miss will have their mega moment Saturday.

What does your radar tell you about Georgia coming to Tuscaloosa soon? When the dust settles lets see who is standing for the next mega moment. It's still about who you play and less about what you say.

If you were a BAMA fan, you would know these things.

IIRC, they had a really backloaded schedule. Nothing to be said until they actually play someone.

They've lost 4 games a year under DeBoer, not really good or bad enough to draw much scrutiny otherwise.

Deboer is rapidly bringing them to mediocrity but they don't seem to care.

No, they're above average. Good defense, mediocre offense.

Very poorly coached.

If they ever reach the post-Urban Meyer era, don't worry, I'll be more than happy to sound the alarm.

We'll find out in a few weeks after playing South Carolina, Mississippi State and Georgia.

Their first four-game losing streak in October/November will be the reality check of where they actually are.

Based on what metric? We won 11 games last year, played for a conference championship, won a playoff game, and played in the Rose Bowl. There are 100+ programs who would kill for that level of “mediocrity.”

Right now they are clinging to Ole Miss' ball sack.
