You clearly have watched about as many A&M games as I have watched longhorn games in the last 20 years, which for me, were the 4 that happened when I was a student. Trolling is fine but at least act like you’re able to recall any rational characteristics of the teams you’re focusing on. Any football fan with half a brain can acknowledge the differences in our teams of the last 5 years, as opposed to the previous three coaching tenures

They prematurely fired Jimbo without a viable back up. Then hired Elmo. What are the odds that Elmo brings a natty to Aggie? I mean seriously. Maybe this is a move to transition and he will be gone by year 3. Who knows? The problem lies with Aggie believing they’re a traditional football power because they’re rich and have shiny toys. Stop being unrealistic and delusional and you’ll be happy with 8-9 wins. That’s your station in life.

I think the biggest issue with aggy hiring Elko is the fact that spell check keeps changing his name to Elmo.

One of the co hosts at TexAgs made the comment, the week after Jimbo was let go, that one of Jimbo's biggest problems was that "he never knew who his boss was". The implication being it wasn't anyone in the athletic office or school administration.

Here’s the reality on Jimbo. He was exactly what you hired. After Winston he went 14-10 in ACC play. He left Tally in flames. Aggie bought fools gold. And paid a then record amount.

I know, it’s not like he didn’t get paid. They paid him 77m not to coach. Should have ridden it out a while longer. I mean they hired Coach Elmo of the Jimbo coaching tree after all.

Fisher was post-Colt McCoy Mack Brown.
Elko is their Charlie Strong. Very good defensive coach with a very small HC sample size and is making very meh initial hires.
The issue is 100% culture so it's idiotic to bring back a coach that was part of that shite culture. I know they did it with the expectations they could try to hold onto Robinson and try to keep their current players around but it's a stupid approach. Like rust on a car, the program has rot. Instead of bringing in a proven coach and letting them take the time to cut out the rot and do it the right way, aggy is trying to slap bondo over that shite and throw a quick coat of paint on it Maaco-style.
