No one is “making them.” The question was asked about Coach Earley, and I responded stating how the players feel. It’s not my opinion, but rather a fact widely known among the baseball program.

I think he is fired. I also think it is a mistake. A&M will never win anything anyway, so might as well save the money and see if the kiddie coach can learn from this season. Or they can piss more money away yet again

100%. He's very loyal to DB and is a man who truly puts his faith above all else — including money or coaching glory. He’s been very vocal about having little to no interest in leaving. His son is there as well.
And to be honest, he’s probably too conservative for A&M, if that’s possible, or any SEC program. He has very high expectations for his team, both on and off the field. DBU is a perfect fit for Heefner and Heefner is a perfect fit for DBU.

Agreed on Heefner. He's just staying where he is. The top end hire for A&M is the Bama coach, or maybe the OSU one. MSU is the best job available.

I’m sorry but he’s an idiot if he chose DBU over A&M. His son could come too. You can put faith #1 no matter where you are. If Aggie wants him, he comes.

MtVernon is climbing the ladder.

Maybe so, but he hasn’t wavered.
And if I recall, I think Trev did approach him last summer, and he said he wasn’t at all interested in leaving DBU.

DBU has a solid program.
The coaching turnover has slowed down with nil so I wouldn’t be at all surprised if aggie held on to him for another year.

Taking the pre-season #1 to not even making a regional is a firable offense. We should not be paying a coach to learn on the job.
The only thing that could/will keep it from happening is the push from the players to keep him.

I don’t think he is going anywhere. A&M in penny pinching mode these days, and there is a foundation to build on to a pretty decent squad. Never going to win anyway

Why would he want to leave Oklahoma?

Will run through a wall but won’t make the NCAA tourney for him.

We are not serious about winning. Earley will stay
