Except he just had Mike Leach ready to sign on the dotted line totally redeeming him and Fulmer backstabbed your program

Depends, who are we going to hire?

Coaches have been taking calls due to Fulmer/Manning.

Having an A.D. that's not Currie going forward will make this job 10x more appealing. How do u hitch ur wagon to Currie, knowing he will be gone within months?

So you think hitching your wagon to AD (whether in title or just in practice) Phil Fulmer is more enticing to legit coaches?

Absolutely. Fulmer may be the future, may not. As mentioned, Fulmer is respected and teamed with Manning they get themselves in the door.

Currie clearly was not though, and there was no doubt on that.

Let me word that original message another way: "Philip Fulmer and other boosters tried to hire Jon Gruden without talking to the actual Athletic Director. They then got mad that he didn't play along sabotaged any and all potential hires because they were upset."

In the door on what? You said coaches are taking calls. Pretty sure a bunch of coaches took Currie's calls, too.

Manning's fingerprints were all over the Schiano offer, so Vol fans now touting Manning's continued involvement are comical.

Jimmy Haslam is slime who would be in prison today if he didn't ascribe blame to his underlings and pretend he was blindfolded and ear plugged during all of the fraudulent shite his company engineered. He also controls the worst pro sports franchise in sports history.

UT needs to stop accepting his money, if they can afford it. The man is a cancer.

All of this, but obviously he runs UT, so it's not going to happen

So now Currie never talked to Gruden? Riiiiiight. I guess they avoided each other on those umpteen visits we all heard about Gruden taking to Knoxville this fall.

This. If this was "Fulmer's revenge" with his booster allies then he had better hit one out of the park or this may not end well for him.

@JimmyHyams
While UT considered Reid Sigmon for interim AD job to replace the fired John Currie, Phillip Fulmer will be named the athletic director at the 4 pm presser, but don't know if full time or interim. With Fulmer at the helm, don't be surprised if pool of candidates opens up
.

That's so fricking weird, not like I was saying this hours ago, I don't even work for ESPN.
