Losing a rematch for a national title has a way to make a fan base broke.

If LSU didn't lose that game they had a solid chance to win the National Championship and 2012 was at the last minute in Tiger Stadium. For LSU fans, that had to feel like what the Kick-Six felt for us.

Absolutely great comparison. The difference is you had a competent coach after the kick six. We had a scared arse deteriorating Les Miles.

I see what you're trying to say but it isn't the same.

Long thread, so I'm sure it's been mentioned.

It was the Yeldon screen pass. I live in Louisiana, trust me on this. Nothing fricked them up the way that play did.

I promise it happened years before a lot of us were born. Saban was just a continuation.

I can promise today most LSU fans give 2 shits about Saban (32-31) and enjoyed Burrow converting 30 first downs in a blizzard.

Not to take away from Alabama's greatness and influence(of which Texas A&M humbly acknowledges) but it was Texas A&M that really broke LSU. We are richer, more handsome, and now better on the gridiron than them. Quite simply, Texas A&M is everything LSU (and the sips, for that matter) wishes they could be.
