Not too long ago, Spurrier was dragging his nuts across your face on a yearly basis. Don't get too cocky. Things can change quickly. Just look at Auburn and Bama. There was a time I wondered if Bama would ever win the IB again. Then they hired Saban.

If the defense stays healthy they're going to beat Clemson this year. Mediocre Jake Bentley went and exposed that defense so badly the DBs still check under their beds for him at night. Then, Dabo has to tuck them in and reassure them that Deebo Samuel isn't coming back to make them look like a JV unit. #2 ranked defense my arse. Jake and Deebo should've dropped a deuce at midfield on their logo after it was over. It would've been the only thing with a Tiger Paw that was stopping shite that night.

I will laugh my arse off if they managed to beat Clemson this year.

This thread will be bumped into the stratosphere if that occurs.

Then we went on to win the national championship, and y'all went on to play in the Belk bowl and get shut out. Bentley must have stayed hiding under that bed you are talking about instead of going to that game.

I wish we would stop playing down to shitty opponents.

Asking this question about a big rivalry is asking for trouble.

So Clemson let the guy who couldn't score against UVA, dad dick their defense? Is that really the story you want to run with here?

Think it also shows we put up more than Bama did

And it wasn’t at a neutral site

Hmmmm

Not so much a highlight (we had too few of those last season).

More along the lines of reminding you before you pencil in the next dozen or so Palmetto Bowls as W's that the Mighty Brent Venables and the Power Rangers spent 60 minutes getting carved up by a 1st year OC and his highly inconsistent QB.

This thread is going to be resurrected with a quickness if and when you lose this year.

The gap between the two programs continues to grow.

lulz .... no true expert or coach will tell you that.

So one team gets shut out in a mediocre bowl game against an equally mediocre team, and the other wins two playoff games, both against undefeated teams, and there is no evidence of a widening gap. Look at recruiting, staff continuity, facilities. Anything. UofSC isn't catching Clemson is a single quantifiable category, except for delusional nutcase fans.
This is a great example of sticking your head in the sand.

Yes, Jake Bentley played a good game against the eventual national champions in a 21 point loss. And then went on to get shut out by UVA.

SCAR beating Clemson would go down as one of the biggest upsets in the history of college football.
