Just stfu. I doubt you ever attended the farmers school and obviously have never achieved shite in your life so you hang your hat on the record of a cfb team to make your insignificant life seem worthwile. Now put extra ketchup in my bag like i said bitch.

Maybe you should have extended your education past the 6th grade. 5 years ago is considered recent moron.

You’re not wrong. I love to think about how pathetic your program has become, in part because of our complete domination over you the last 5 years, and likely then next 10. It makes me happy to see you fail. And right now, I’m quite happy

I don't really look at the gap in talent. I know on any given day a team of 3 stars can beat a team of 5 stars if everything goes right for one team and wrong for the other. I still get nervous before a lot of Clemson games and never go in thinking they will kill this team or that team. I just go in hoping Clemson wins no matter who it's against. I wish a lot of other Clemson fans would go back to that way also

What you say is very true. And I do recall a helluva lot of our fans (I was guilty as well) insisting we would win that 6th year. And saying we wished they'd keep Dabo forever. And Clemson fans have been doing/saying the exact same things about us and Muschamp. Like we learned, careful what you wish for. Things can turn on a dime.

Carolina_Girl,
I respect your opinion more than most on this board.
What’s your take on how the majority of South Carolina fans view Muschamp’s job security, long-term in Columbia?
Does he seem to have the support of the folks who matter?
Are Ganecocks happy with the current situation?

I’ve seen several upsets in this series. Best policy for people to keep their mouth shut and let the game play out.

Things can change very quickly in CFB. Look at the past 10 years of the UF/FSU rivalry.

Well we've seen what Muschamp is capable of at a MUCH better job than Clemson...

The answer seems like yes to both

I mean realistically Spurrier didn’t get going till his 6th season

This will only be Muschamps 4th, so I’ll be cautiously optimistic about this.
I think he’s safe this year unless we go 0-12 or some scandal breaks out.
I don’t expect a great season this year (that’s 8+ wins) and for last year i predicted 7-5 also so my expectations were the same.

We need some big time NFL talent to be recruited, who knows if we got it till it comes in but I’m talking to the level of Lattimore Jeffery Clowney and Gilmore, all those guys in state

I’m not saying we should be a yearly east title team, we’ve never been that but spurrier showed he could get talent to come here.

I wasn’t a fan of the hire and I’m still not but I hope by his 6th season (Or 7th because Spurriers 6th he won the east at 5-3) we have a team comparable to those top ten teams we had in 11,12 and 13.

Outside of the fringe idiot fan faction that expects Spurrier level success immediately, our fans are a pretty patient bunch. Years and years of practice. There are areas that some of us get extremely aggravated with Muschamp about (his hard-headed insistence of keeping Bentley in when he's obviously flustered, etc) but given the state of the program when he took over, he's actually done better than most realize. He's won more games in his first 3 seasons here than Spurrier did. Compare Muschamp's results over his first 3 seasons to Dabo's first three complete seasons at Clemson and they are almost identical. Oddly, his offenses have not been the issue outside of Jake Bentley brain farts and some inexplicable drops by our WRs in certain games. His defenses have not been what's typical of Muschamp. That should change this year. Next year? All of the pieces should be firmly in place on both sides. I think he will be fine if he goes 7-5 this year. Fans will be tickled with that given our schedule. Next year is when his arse gets uncomfortable if we don't see a very significant uptick in our standing and results. He's got a great staff in place now. He fired the weak links and the ones he never should have hired in the first place and has brought in a group that works.

This is where it gets tricky. A lot of us do not like Ray Tanner as AD. Our President retires this year. We were hoping the new Prez would hire his own AD but our BoTs extended Tanner's contract a few weeks ago (without a pay raise) seemingly to protect his spot as AD. Tanner doesn't have the experience to be an AD and he certainly doesn't have the balls to stand up and tell that school in the upstate to shove it up their arse and then have us do whatever we have to do to win. The good ol' boy system is alive and well at Carolina. We had approved a hire for the President vacancy and then a group of our students Mizzou'ed the decision and pitched a fit BC there were no women candidates...so the BoTs declared none of the 5 finalists were worthy and they named an interim President until they can find a more "qualified" candidate. Meanwhile the average fan who buys tickets and are members of the Gamecock Club are dropping their tix and memberships.

With Muschamp and crew, yes. Recruiting is coming along, the shelves are being stocked and for the moment he is safe and good to go. He has GOT to figure out how to beat ranked teams (and Kentucky) though.

With our AD, BoTs and all that jazz? No. Hell no. That will be the death of our program long before coaching alone will.
