I mean he committed to LSU over UT because LSU offered more to begin with. Was considered UT lean before he committed to LSU out of no where. Then UT signed with adidas and was able to get him more money.

We beat an irrelevant team in Baton Rouge pretty recently

That’s just recruiting now. If you get an early 5 star commit, I can almost bet they are playing you for a bigger offer

This one was predictable. Kid signed an NIL deal with adidas. Tennessee switched to adidas last week.

If you look at the receivers who LSU has in the NFL right now and compare that to whoever Tennessee has in the NFL right now there would be no comparison. So if the kid was concerned about his future and getting developed into a future NFL star then he would have picked LSU. The kid (or his parents most likely) are chasing money. Let’s not pretend that LSU didn’t offer the kid a large amount of cash. So the deciding factor was who gave him and his greedy parents the most money.

Exactly.

I think you’re living in the past

QBs:

Our last two Heisman Trophy QBs were free agents from other programs

It really is the way to go

Pick them up after two years with another program when you know what they are about

WRs:

“Louisiana has WRs falling out of trees”….Nick Saban

Thank you for following our program

LSU lost Jo Jo Earles commitment

Still don’t understand what happened with that kid.

He was hyped up like he was a poor man’s Jaylen Waddle, gets in the game and looks like he’s running in sand.

TLDR, shut up moron.

Jalin Hyatt won the Biletnikoff and had a better season that year than any LSU receiver in the last five years (that’s right, bitch, 2019 was six years ago)… moron.

If there's anything LSU has struggled with it's QB's and WR's.

Meanwhile, in the real world:

2022 Jalin Hyatt
67 receptions
1,267 yards
15 touchdowns

2023 Malik Nabers
89 receptions
1,569 yards
14 touchdowns

2023 Brian Thomas Jr
68 receptions
1,177 yards
17 touchdowns

Gotta be the money.

Kelly just got a QB and two WRs selected in the first round with all three putting up historic rookie numbers.

So this kid certainly ain't choosing based on NFL aspirations.

Football scout film reviews I found for

Jalin Hyatt: Jalin Hyatt’s highlight reel is one of the most insane viewing experiences for any receiver prospect in this year’s draft. You’ll see a gifted vertical playmaker and one of the most dominant downfield threats in the country. However, he’s a tricky evaluation given the funky offense he played in at Tennessee and the amount of space that was created for him to operate.

Dont'e Thornton Jr.- Weaknesses: Runs a three-route tree with slight variations.

Good luck to the young 5 star. Gonna need to learn quick at the next level.

In fairness the Vols lost a starting QB…..that was already on their roster…..to UCLA…..for less money.

Let that sink in
