Jackie Sherrill started to rely heavily on Jucos during his later years IIRC.
had like 2 or 3 straight 2/3 win seasons.
We aren't relying on Juco's. Our recruiting coordinator said in an interview this past week the only time we recruit Juco's is to address a glaring need, and only if we think they can come in and start.
We signed 5 this year:
- A safety that looks like he will start
- A corner that looks like he will start
- Another corner that will provide depth in the nickel
- And a freakish offensive lineman that is 2nd team and is expected to contribute a lot
- and a punter
And we were able to bring in 27 players this year, as two counted back to last year's class. So we signed 22 high school kids. THE SKY IS FALLING

calm down sport. I never said you did. I was actually just agreeing with WRT in regards to problems with relying on Jucos.
Wasn't pointing any fingers.

don't forget about john henderson who didn't make it and Caleb Evans the replacement.

Don't forget you said darius winston and anthony leon wouldn't qualify.

I don't think he was offered by Lsu.
I work with a lady who is very good friends with Ueckman's parents. He was offered by LSU.
To paraphrase Ronald Reagan, it's not that you don't know anything, it's just that so much of what you know isn't true.

NO. I never did say they would not qualify. Try to be logical and exercise some common sense just this once for me. I did call you "cool" last night. Rememebr that?
What I said was it did not look like htey were going to qualify and that was coming from 2 other forums. "IT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE" is different then "THEY ARE NOT"
btw, I heard from a source that Dyer is visiting Ole Miss this weekend.

Big get. Can't wait to see him in confederate colors. By dam!

It's not out of the relm of possibility we snag Byran Jones either. that's the top 3 arkansas players commiting to Ole Miss. A big year with a college game day will go a long away.
Can you imagine Hog fans reactions when they go 5-7 again which is very possible. Ole miss wins the west then the sugar bowl. Then to cap it all off a month later signs a top 12 class with Dyer , Jones, and Mathews mixed in. And they get like a #34 class.
EPIC!

No matter how stupid you make him look, he's good about not editing his drivel. Few people can give someone a new sig on a daily basis.

Of coarse there is a better chance it all goes the other way. Ole miss goes .500 in conference and loses the chicken bowl to finish with 8 wins. Then a month later they still have a shite recruiting class becasue peaNUTT slo-played his class trying to get the big ones after a big season. Snead is tired of getting sacked and declares for the draft and say bye-bye to the greatest two year stretch by ole miss in the modern erea and back to losing seasons.

I disagree XbengalTiger. I think there is about a 75% chance Ole Miss wins the west. In the process, they'll host college gameday at least once. Then, Byran Jones, Michael Dyer, and Brishen Mathews all sign with Ole Miss. I live in the same part of Little Rock as Michael Dyer's school. If I see him I'm gonna tell him he needs to sign with Ole Miss. He's getting a $100 handshake from me.

Your only problem with this is:
OM will not win the west
Byran Jones knows where he is going

Dyer was higher on LSU because of the likes of Houston Nutt

And quit fricking replying to your alter

where is Byran going? It won't be Arkansas. He has only been to the campus once. He'll go to LA tech before Arkansas if Lsu doesn't offer. Oxford is closer and my bet is on him ending up at Oxford. You don't know that OM will not win the west but it's theirs to lose. They have the best talent and best schedule. Instead of saying they won't, get accustomed to the idea they probabaly will.
Nutt has won and put alot of backs in the NFL. I think Nutt is a very logical guy to play for. If he went to Arkansas he'd get injured like all the other tailbacks.

I know where Jones is going...I don't use the Rivals "check box" as my inside scoop...
this is comical...you have no basis for this and you know it...
Dyer will not go to OM...You can pretty much see the writing on the wall now that he isn't going to AU either...It's the game
You're out of your league on this one

Hmmm if Nutt can get him on campus he has a good chance to get him. It's a logical place to play b/c Nutt has won big and put backs in the NFL in the process and I don't know what your getting at about the injuries but look around. Every tailback Petrino has had has broken an ankle or torn a hamstring. It comes down to technique and poor conditioning. Nutt is having no where near this much bad luck with tailback injuries. Michael Smith , Barnett, Knile Davis, D anthony Curtis are guys that come to mind that have all been hurt already and missed considerable time.
Dyer will get alot of peer pressure to not go to ole MIss b/c alot of people around here hate them. but that is the safest place to go if he wants to win and develop into an NFL back in the process and still stay close to home and you know it. Too bad Petrino won't develop a relationship with him. I bet Nutt will

you obviously have no clue of the dislike of Nutt by dyer's family...you know nothing on this subject...
Knile Davis could walk down the street and his ankle plate would have broke...Mike Smith has to do daily ice soaks for his legs...regardless of coach...Barnett broke a bone...it happens
So really your just pissing in the wind...

I just want to say this: I didn't read anything you say, but I'm going to disagree with it out of principle.
I know I'm a new poster around here, but I just want to make it clear that I am in no way associated with WildRebelTime. At all. Ever.
The guy isn't an Ole Miss fan or an Arkansas fan. He's a Houston Nutt fan. That's not how the SEC works, IMO. You follow a team, regardless of who the coaches may be, not vice versa.
