The Clint Stoerner fumble vs UT in 1998. The ground can't cause a fumble!

Any impartial observer could watch that game and clearly see that Les had a plan that worked perfectly.

Thank you.
Every single coach in FG range to win a game, on 3rd down, will take a shot at the endzone before settling on the FG attempt. The players took a little too long breaking the huddle and Flynn to survey the defense and call the play and hike the ball.
But the way its become folklore, its become that Les just said, "Eh, frick it. I'm just gonna gamble it all on this 3rd down and forever hail mary play."

"Fifth Down" when Colorado got an extra play to beat Missouri with a late touchdown and go on to split the national championship with Ga Tech.

Already mentioned was the Nebraska-Missouri touchdown pass (off his foot?).

Lucky me, I got to be in the stands live and in person for BOTH of those goddam plays. BOTH happened in the same North endzone at Mizzou as time expired and both leading to a fraudulent national title for the beneficiary.

In terms of just how improbable, this was where the ball was in the Nebraska game nanoseconds before the bicylce kick by the Husker WR on the ground...Mizzou's cornerback HAD that shite in his fingertips. Not to mention intentionally kicking the ball like that on a live play was illegal anyway, but was not called.

Oh and the Fifth Down that Colorado theoretically scored on? Even if you give them five downs, photos show blatantly that the Colorado RB's knee was down anyway before he broke the plane. Instant replay would not have held it up if it had been around.

And of course, at the end of regulation of both those games, Mizzou fans started storming the field and tearing down our goalposts thinking we had won. Since the Nebraska one still had an overtime to play, they literally turned the hoses on our fans to clear the field and resume play.

What about the one point safety? I think there has only been two, ever.

dude, lets be serious, they both suck, but Gary is much better than Verne. It is an absolute travesty that Verne is still allowed to do SEC games. He's is THE WORST.

97 Iron Bowl....Bama up with 35 seconds to play, and Dubose calls a screen play to Ed Scissum who promptly gets hit, fumbles, Auburn wins.

Worse than that, he didn't call the play. He didn't even know what play had been called. Supposedly fired 3 or 4 assistants for that one play to cover his own a$$.
