Bama should not have been in with 2 losses and multiple bad wins.

But, you're two assertions of incorrect were also subjective.

I have absolutely no dog in this fight and no reason to comment, but my gut tells me this,
There is no way Alabama would lose the semi-final round, no matter who they played. I've seen this movie too many times.

You don't think the way Ohio State was dominated at home is enough to have someone else replace them as a #4 team?

Yes, but there wasn't a better option.

With no running game, and a defense that doesn’t stop anyone, Bama wasn’t beating any of the 4 teams in the playoff…period. This Bama team cant point to one damn thing they do well, or consistent and it was the entire season, not one or two games.

The precedent that a bad loss in your last game doesn't keep you out was set last year when uga got in as number 4 after losing SECCG (in Atlanta) by 17. They justified their inclusion by winning it all. The proof of the pudding will be how TCU and OSU do Saturday.

People will argue against this but look at the facts:

Alabama had a stronger SOS compared to Ohio State

The SEC is a more difficult conference than the Big Ten

The Alabama two losses were road losses on the last play of the game and each were less than a touchdown. The Ohio State loss was a blow loss at home

The Alabama fans will argue that the Tide had a difficult season and not as deserving as teams in the past. This team's measurements against previous Alabama teams should not be considered

These are my arguments as to why Alabama should have been the 4th seed in this season's NCAA College Football Playoffs. Convince me otherwise

At the end of the day, you have to beat someone.

Their best wins are Texas and MSU. Two teams that fluctuated in and out of the top 25 all year.

OSU lost one game and beat everyone else by ten or more.

Alabama struggled several times and lost two. It's really not close.

And that's with OSU. For some reason, some want to argue TCU which is ridiculous.

Would Bama beat TCU head to head? Probably. But if we're gonna decide it that way, let's just take the the top four teams in recruiting and forget the regular season.

This should be decided by what's on the field and winning games. Anything else is crap.

Bama in no way shape or form should have been in over TCU.
TCU deserves to be there regardless of the outcome.
If a power 5 team goes undefeated in the regular season and doesn’t make the playoffs, then the whole thing is just a clown show.

This will bother a lot of LSU fans as already evidenced in this thread.

For me, I'm glad af we got to play LSU. Was an easy step to finishing an undefeated season.
