IMHO I believe Alabama should have been the 4th seed in the 2022 College Football Playoff

People will argue against this but look at the facts:

Alabama had a stronger SOS compared to Ohio State

The SEC is a more difficult conference than the Big Ten

The Alabama two losses were road losses on the last play of the game and each were less than a touchdown. The Ohio State loss was a blow loss at home

The Alabama fans will argue that the Tide had a difficult season and not as deserving as teams in the past. This team's measurements against previous Alabama teams should not be considered

These are my arguments as to why Alabama should have been the 4th seed in this season's NCAA College Football Playoffs. Convince me otherwise

No, too busy dealing with sick patients and wanted to hurry and post this before the games actually started and finally got a chance

They had 2 losses.

Name the quality win.

OSU has a win over the current #9 team and #19 team(not great). And a loss to the #2 team.

Bama has a win over the #21 Texas and #24 MSU and lost to #6 and #16

They had no big win this year. You can't just put them in the playoffs because they recruit well. You have to earn it with wins on the field.

Good points, I was not aware of this. You don't think the way Ohio State was dominated at home is enough to have someone else replace them as a #4 team?

They had multiple opportunities and couldn't get it done. No one's fault but their own.

If they're another team with their resumé they might've had a chance, but there's no way the Committee was putting Alabama in this year.

Best thing they can do at this point is show up as a team and dominate the only opponent left. Maybe they'll decide to put the hammer down and go out right.

Ohio state is better at every single position than alabama. So there’s that?

IMO they should’ve been in over TCU.

If Bamas win were more impressive I’d have been on board. They may be one of the four best but unless they magically put it together before the playoffs we likely would have witnessed another close Los

Alabama had 2 losses, Ohio St only had 1.

There is no world in which the committee ever applies SoS before overall record. Right or wrong, it's just never going to happen.

Alabama is better than TCU and Ohio State. Doesn't matter though, Bama should've beaten LSU. So Bama gets the 11am Sugar Bowl vs the Big 12 champion.

Not so sure the SEC is better top to bottom than the Big 10 this year. It’s close.
