How'd Burrow get here?
you will notice I didn't say Burrow was all that. I said that William Taylor (and other LSU fans) said he was.
Tua Tagovailoa was still favored by most media sources and vegas to win the Heisman till he was injured vs UT. He shouldn't even have played after that till he was totally healed, and yes, I blame Saban for that.

Your own fans shite on that hire worse than any rival could.

Nothing great about his coaching abilities. However, he is a damn good recruiter and his players would walk through fire for him.

He's the CEO of the LSU fb corp.
His job is to sell the program by winning at the highest level of NCAA Div 1.
I think he's accomplished the requirements of his job.

I wish I could bump every thread started by an LSU poster about how awful they thought this hire was.
Let's be honest: everyone thought it was awful.
Orgeron was probably like the dog who caught the school bus when he got hired.

Geaux tigahs!
And his job as figure head is to put us in a position to win. He’s done that better than anyone else in our conference, and arguably the nation, this year.

I didn’t like the O hire as well. Many LSU fans didn’t either. Bringing in Burrow and Brady were homeruns for O. Just amazing moves

And now having to realize he’s got the a generational QB this year and will resume lsu's rightful 4th place in the secw.

bama's starters VS LSU.
DL - one Tr Fr - one Jr and two Srs
LB - two Tr Fr
CB - one So and one Sr
S - one Jr and one Sr
Nb - Sr
Seven starters gone for next year. Believe the two Jr starters (lewis and mckinny) have made known they won't be back. Three Tr Fr not four VS LSU, don't know about other games. Don't care.

I don't think he's the best Xs and Os coach out there, but I'd say he's much more than a figure head and cheerleader. He has recruited some serious diamonds in the rough with Justin Jefferson who was a 3* and ranked the 315th WR coming out or something like that, Edwards-Helaire who was just a 3* recruit ranked 387th nationally, Thad Moss who was a transfer, and the biggest recruit of all, Joe Burrow who Nebraska wouldn't even look at. Orgeron stuck with Edwards-Helaire even with everyone clamoring to see 5* #1 recruit, John Emery. It has paid off big-time.
His team has been prepared, has not had many mental mistakes and has been a fast starter in almost every game. He said he wanted a new spread offense and actually went out got a young guy no one really knew and transformed the LSU offense. You have to give him credit for that. Coaches need to bring in the talent and make crucial adjustments. He has done that big-time.

You mean like Saban? Guess which one did the better job this year?

Best coach in the country this year is Matt Rhule.

Tua's toughest game before LSU was Texas a&m and Tua completed 61% of his passes. Burrow's lowest % this year in a game was 71% and he has only been below 76% in four games. Tua is a great QB, but it wouldn't have mattered how healthy he was with how Burrow has played. It may be the biggest landslide win in the history of the Heisman (it will be one of the biggest for sure).
