That kind of thing happens when you're speaking to someone with a considerable measure of intelligence who types about 180 words per minute. I also use punctuation...

I understand the football records from the 60s, 70s, and 80s are VERY important times for Hog fans of all ages… I get it, I really do.

Do you? Let's take a look at your record from those three decades, because I really don't think you do understand:

 1–6–3
 4–5–1
 3–7
 2–7–1
 1–9
 3–7
 4–5–1
 7–4
 3–7
 3–7

 2–9
 5–6
 3–8
 5–6
 8–3
 10–2
 10–2
 8–4
 8–4
 6–5

 4–7
 7–5
 5–6
 5–5–1
 6–5
 10–2
 9–3
 10–2
 7–5
 8–4

Hm, interesting. Well, that's OK. This whole topic is about recent history, right? Texas A&M doesn't need to look back on "the glory days," because they're currently in the midst of them. Let's see how that powerhouse has fared since the millennium:

 7–5
 8–4
 6–6
 4–8
 7–5
 5–6
 9–4
 7–6
 4–8
 6–7
 9–4
 7–6
 11–2
 9–4
 8–5
 8–5
 8–5
 7–6
 9–4
 8–5

Weird. It appears Texas A&M has mostly wallowed in the depths of football purgatory, but here lately it seems to have made a meteoric climb to stagnant mediocrity. Well, I guess these results are acceptable since you're obviously getting coaches at cut rates. Nothing wrong with a discount coach when you're getting each win for pennies on the dollar.

We claimed a national championship in a year undefeated and unscored upon.

That actually seems like a highly reasonable and understandable thing to do.

Stop bringing up your past. You’re making the OP, a fellow fan, sad today.

Imagine being so proud of your program that you can only win 7-8 games a year with the 2nd biggest budget in college football. Right now Jimbo is averaging about 1 million dollars per win a year... hell of a contract for him. All those Top 15 recruiting classes... all those nice facilities. and still struggle to beat teams like Arkansas. 5 of the last 6 games decided by 7 points or less... 3 overtimes...

This, my friend, is what you call a body bag.

Meanwhile, Arkansas has finished in the top 4 in every category, multiple times.

Poor Aggy.
