I'm really at a loss picking the OU vs Bama game

Alabama should win this one going away.....but.....UGA should have beaten OU going away last season; they wound up in a shootout.

It is really hard to use statistics to evaluate the two teams. If you take Bama's four opponents in November (disregarding the Citadel), they averaged 24th nationally on defense. The best four defenses that OU played in November averaged 79th nationally. Although I think this was a major factor in the Heisman voting, I'm not sure it matters a lot when it comes to how the game will play out. The fact is, OU can score on anyone, from any place on the field. Bama can do the same.

I don't think the Bama coaching staff will alter their game plan a lot, from what they've been running all year. Why would you? If it ain't broke.....etc., etc..

I would like to remind Bama and OU fans how lucky we are to see our teams in this match-up. It is one of the more interesting ones, in recent memory.

My only concern is that we try to sling it everywhere while we could crush them just running the ball. I do not want to get in a shootout.

OU is in for a rude awakening. If you go take a look at the Army- OU highlights... not the triple option that OU couldn't cover for shite... I'm talking about the Army runs inside the 10 yard line. They just lined up and went straight at OU between the tackles. OU defenders went backwards like they were on skates.

Army has a good O-line but Bama's is at least as good. If Bama doesn't run the ball 40 times or more someone needs to be fired. OU cannot stop Bama running game and Bama backs. Period.

Hard to disagree with this. I objectively can’t say this is going to be close, but I felt the same way in 2014.

We won't run it 40 times, and the guy who should be fired for that already has a head coaching job lined up.

If you don’t want to be in a shootout you better not run the ball. You’ll score way to quickly if you do

I'd totally agree if we didn't have to swap Deonte Brown for Lester Cotton. As it stands, I suspect there'll be a game plan that'll look very similar to what we're accustomed to seeing.

Army run locking is a different breed. They keep you off balanace because they go low all game and take your legs out. A@M fans are a on this kick about army for whatever reason and I personally think army beats A@M by two tds... Look at any other team running the ball with big physical backs and they did not rush well. The other backs who did were the faster running backs. I am not saying we are world beaters at stopping the run but it is a strength of the defense.

It's a good thing you aren't saying that because then it would be apparent that you are completely full of shite. The true indicator was Army inside the 10. They lined up to run, OU knew they were running, and OU got smashed straight back. No triple option bullshite just head to head smashing.

It's going to be closer than most think. I think Bama wins 45-38. Something like that.

I’m not defending that game, or OU’s defense. But Army turned out to be not terrible.

You should go all in. Put every nickel and dime you have on OU. Sounds like you cannot lose. In fact, if anyone will lend you some more money you should borrow it and make an even larger bet.

Come on dude. You are making me defend aggy here. But whatever. It’s hilarious you think army just runs over aggy. Uh if you haven’t watched the aggys you would know they have a good run d. I would bet a lot of money they would clamp the army offense down. Then the offense would run because of mond. He would have a field day. Not to mention the Williams would have 150+ on the ground.

frick you forever. Eat a bag of dicks. Roll damn tide.

Still a few self-respecting Longhorn fans around here that understand the Texas - OU relationship. New fans don't seem to get it.

If we JUST run the ball, all we do is keep both scores lower, and the margin for error smaller.

Bama's defense is going to stop OU's offense more than OU's defense is going to stop Bama's offense. So, the more possessions, the larger the margin of victory will be for Bama.

Trying to run the ball and shorten the game is what you do when you have a dominant defense and an "ok" offense.

OU is going to score points. It’s gojng to come down to which defense can force field goals and get a turnover. I think Alabama is going to win but to expect to win going away is foolish.

Ask yourself this question. Which team is more capable of getting stops? It's that simple. Bama wins this game by 20. 55-35.
