I'm not too alarmed about UGA's narrow win; 2022 season serves as a recent reminder

In 2022, #1 UGA traveled up to Missouri and was nearly beaten. Dawgs clawed their way back from a hole and won in the 4th qtr, 26-22. The next week, they sorta continued to struggle, winning only 39-22 vs. Kent State.

Later that season, the #1 Dawgs went up to Lexington and, you guessed it, struggled mightily against Kentucky, winning only 16-6 (what in the world is in that fake bluegrass of a field they have, voodoo meds?).

But, the season took a turn after that....Dawgs wound up undefeated at 15-0 and demolishing TCU, 65-7, to win the national title.

Be assured, Kirby's going to get things straightened out and I think we'll be alright. Two weeks from now in Tuscaloosa, we'll find out whether or not he has.

Wow, what a tough schedule UGA has this season ( I noticed that Texas' next two games are against mighty Louisiana-Monroe and Mississippi State). :)

When do you play Texas? If it was tomorrow I’d bet on them but the Dawgs can take a loss and still make the playoffs.

I agree with this, but I didn't read much past the title and the last sentence.

Truss needs to get shite figured out. Gotta replace Ratledge at least for a while. None of the TEs wanna block.

DL is ravaged by injuries. Secondary is very young.

Bama has potential to be blowout loss

Your team came out flat, played lazy, and did the minimum.

It's a mind virus that infects every team during a season at some point.

Relax.

UGA played poorly....didn't look very well prepared.....poor punting, 3 fumbles and 9 penalties.....it was terrible. Not like us at all.

Attitude and preparedness will be top priorities next two weeks.

Has the same potential to be a blowout win, too.

Based on what? Alabama literally just struggled with a team worse than UK not even a week ago.

They went into the Big House and woodshedded Michigan. Moo State may be the only easy game left on UGA's schedule outside of UMass tune-up ahead of COFH.

I think this will serve as a wake up call for Georgia and you will win out.

From your lips to God's ears. For some reason, we need one or two of those games every season.

Kentucky played their asses of for the full 60 minutes. Props where it's due.

poor punting

Thorson is rock solid. We haven't seen him punt that much in ages.

I take that back, you're right (not sure what I was thinking)....in 11 punts, he's averaging 49.5/kick, not bad. His long vs. UK was 58 w/3 inside the 20. Everything else that was bad seemingly made it like the kicking was poor, too.
