I'm not sure why my fellow UGA fans are obsessed with Mullen.

I see threads about him from UGA fans frequently. I personally don't think he is a threat unless he proves otherwise. In his best season at Mississippi State, he went 10-3 and was absolutely obliterated in their bowl game. He never won the division, he has never pulled in a top ten class, he had some historically bad defenses at State, and he can't keep his dick in his pants. Furthermore, it's not like Mac left him with a lot of talent to work with. I think his ceiling is Mark Richt and his floor is Mark Stoops. Hard to respect the other Georgia posters who seem to be worried sick about him.

These are the top 5 games I am worried about next year:

1. @ South Carolina
2. Auburn
3. @ Missouri
4. @ LSU
5. Florida

The only reason Florida cracks the top 5 is because I was a kid in the 90s. Until we dominate them for an entire decade or more, I will always be somewhat worried about them.

Also, Missouri gets the nod over LSU because they have an experienced and talented QB, and that game is pretty early in the season. LSU always has questions at QB, but they also have questions at RB this year as well.

Then you are too short sighted to see why jawja fans are afraid of the Merlin. 3 yrs from now he will have FL humming along probably.

I wouldn't underestimate @LSU. McElwain won a game there, but we got very fortunate they didn't beat us by 21. They're not a team to take lightly.

I almost feel uncomfortable with how not worried I am about this game. Thsi just isn't the LSU of old, and by old I mean even like a few years ago.

Orgeron is simply not scary in any way at all as an opposing coach. They lost many of their key studs, they still have no QB. The game will be at 3:30 so the crowd will be meh, what's left of the crowd after halftime anyway. On top of all that we are humming along better htan we have in quite some time. Not to mention they have @Auburn, LaTech, Ole Miss, @UF right before us. A few easy ones sure but not like playing ULM. Them playing in gainesville the week before is big for us.

I just can't make myself get concerned about this game right now.

Smart UG fans are concerned that Mullen will get UF back on track soon, dumb ones just figure because UG had one great year that UF is not going to start kicking that dog arse again real soon with better coaching. 21 of 28 and counting.

He's not scary like other big time coaches, but I also feel like he's got one of those teams that could lose to any team in the country, but that they could also beat any team in the country.

Having them as our rival, if it's a night game in Death Valley, I'd be extremely worried.

I don’t believe you’re taking Mullen at Florida serious enough. Even though I don’t like him, you have to respect him. You mentioned his best season was 10-3. Do you believe he had a loaded roster of Florida type players to do that? He may not be the best coach, but he can sure coach up lower starred guys. And he did all that at State which isn’t easy to do. Now he will have better overall talent. That’s not a knock against state, but he will have better talent down there. It may not show in the first year or two, but give him some time and they will be a contender.

Never thought I would see the day I was taking up for Mullen and at the same time give state props. The end of the world may be coming sooner than I thought.

Also to the real Georgia fans, I see y’all maintaining this force for quite a while.

True. Obviously if this Brennan kid ends up being as good as they think he will be that changes things considerably.

What are you basing the start time off of?

I wouldn't be so quick to write off LSU, even with O at the helm. We'll have one of the best Ds in the country. A common theme with LSU has been lack of QB, but we've beaten better teams with worse QBs than Brennan.

I'd also bet that unless the wheels come off early, a lot of people are going to come out to watch. UGA hasn't played in BTR for a damn long time. Thanks, SEC.

I think smart uga fans realize that UF isn't gonna keep having losign seasons and be the laughing stock they were with mac, but that doesn't mean you're gonna get back to Meyer levels either

sooo...you think someone is dumb for not thinking that UF is gonna start whooping us soon? Wouldn't that make you the dumb one for such a crazy assumption considering the state of both programs right now?

Of course, the old tried and true retort when someone has run out real talking points. I got news for ya bud, if you think what steve spurrier accomplished against Ray Goff before the internet was around has any bearing on present day, you need some help.

It's actually 1 of the last 1 (for us), and we show no signs of slowing down.

Let's just call it like Coach Mullen did, "Even a blind squirrel (or bulldog) finds a nut every now and then."
