Where are you getting this idea that I say fans control anything. You’re just putting words in my mouth now. I was simply saying we get disappointed when we don’t come in first, that comes from the winning culture the powers at be at UF have produced. I will say fan expectation holds the administrations feet to the fire but that’s the extent of it.

I said initially that it's dumb and depressing for fans to be disappointed any time your team doesn't win the national championship. You responded by saying that those high expectations are why Florida wins and Georgia loses, which implies that fans have some sort of control over whether the team wins or loses. That idea is what I was responding to.

That wasn’t my line of thinking at all, I meant UF as a university and athletic department have high expectations for themselves, which in turn funnels to the fans. It’s just part of it. I 100% agree fans have no impact on the game other than a little momentum at home. Sorry for the confusion.

I wasn't necessarily saying they were starting new threads (UF poster said that)

Right, which is what I originally responded to. Because that is a patently incorrect statement.

UGA fans have been very active in the threads about him and Florida

Dude it's April. Waht else should we talk about? Mullen seems to be one of the "topics de jour" as of late, and UF happens to be our biggest SEC rival. Don't confuse "scared/obssessed" with sipmly having conversation. It's the offseason, pretty much any topic of convo is on the table.

It's not "blatant lies" when someone points out a fanbase has been talking a lot about a coach

My origianl retort was to the assertation UGA fans were starting frequent threads abotu mullen, which again has been proven multiple times over ot be false. But ok let's say we do talk about mullen a lot in the last 5-7 days...is that surprising? We play UF every year, they are in our division, they're our biggest SEC rival, and UT doesn't have many fans on here. If it was only UF fans allowed to talk about him threads would die out in an hour.

And lastly...hasn't us talking about it killed some of your work day and made it go quicker? We shoudl all be thankful.

I think it's a good thing UGA and UF fans are going back and forth -- and for the discussion to be football related as opposed to shark humping and butter teeth. It shows that there are going to be some great games between the two programs in the future. While I enjoyed watching UGA stomp the shite out of UF, that's not exactly entertaining football.

The SEC is better when both UGA and UF are good, not when one or the other runs away with the East (come on Tennessee, get your shite together already).

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go do penance for saying positive things about UF

UG has had great wins and seasons in the past only to follow them up with disappointment. Example; 1980 Freshman Herschel Walker, 1980 National Champions...........still waiting to back that up.

This was a dumb point the last time you brought it up as 81-83 followed that up well and 03-07 followed 02 well.

Almost as dumb as bragging about owning uga from 90-03 and ignoring the obvious shift in the rivalry from 04-17.
