I prefer salt water to freshwater. I like marsh fishing as much as deep sea fishing. After catching bull reds and red snapper, I just don't enjoy catching bass and other freshwater fish anymore.
I love riding in boats. I think that's why I like deep sea fishing so much. I always fall asleep in the boat because the steady wave action puts me to sleep.

I definitely enjoy salt water a ton more...I'd just rather fish in the bay then go offshore. I'm sure if I went deep sea fishing more, I'd probably like it better though. Fishing in the bay is a million times cheaper.

Catch a smallmouth bass on a fly rod and you might just change your opinion. Most fun I've ever had in my entire life fishing

It's a lot cheaper and not nearly the hassle. Like I said, I just like sleeping in the boat. If I lived on a boat, I would never have trouble sleeping.
Catching yellow fun tuna and shite is awesome when you are deep sea fishing though.

I went bass fishing my entire life. I didn't start saltwater fishing until I was in my 20's. I hated fly fishing. Too much work.
