all this "8 & 4" talk referencing Texas A&M...I get it in that was their record last year. I get that. But, there's more.
I just came across these stunning stats about A&M's record, not only from last year, but over the past 25 years. Amazing.
Interspersed between seasons of 11-2 and 11-3 are couple of years of 6-6 and 4-8 since 1996.
Doesn't matter....the averages, no matter how you splice the years, come out to basically 8-4.
Over the last 5 seasons, their average record is 8.2 - 4
Over the last 10 seasons, their average record is 8.5 - 4.1
Over the last 15 seasons, their average record is 7.9 - 4.8.
Over the last 20 seasons, their average record is 7.45 - 5.05.
Over the last 25 seasons, their average record is 7.68 - 4.84.
Now, that's spooky. I love ya, A&M, but that's amazingly spooky.
