He'll do fine. He is a good coach who got good results with ~25th ranked talent at a historical loser in a job he never fully bought into after the first two years.

With Florida talent and full effort on his part, I expect him to do quite well.

If I were Florida, the thing I would worry about is his recruiting ability (sarcastic yankee a-hole doesn't fly with a lot of southern mamas and with LOOK AT ME 5* talent) and his loyalty to some subpar position coaches in Gonzo and Hev.

With no DC. CB coach DeShea freaking Townsend was coaching the defense, while looking for another job

You Florida fans have given me some good grins the last few days. I have no issues with Florida. I just think Mullen is overrated. I get that he is your new head coach, but this is like when LSU fans were behind Ed O. It's not going to end like you think. He doesn't have the talent. And again, smaller schools in Florida are taking that talent away and are becoming more desirable than UF.

Basically he proved he could coach and develop a program.

Talk about ignorance. I've been entertained by your strange obsession as well.

Who is overrating Mullen? Links?

We do appreciate your interest in the program even if your opinion is more useless than a pig in a blanket.

Did he now? Seems like he pulled a fast one rather than prove anything.

This. Dan is a damn good coach. It's a shame that in the Saban era good coaches are looked down on because they aren't Saban.

Bro small Florida schools aren’t pulling talent from Florida, we haven’t lost one player we wanted to them, and your comparison of ED O at LSU and Mullen at UF is laughably stupid. Just look at there respective records at there respective Mississippi schools. If you're going to give reasons why you think something at least try not to sound like a complete moron.

No worries. It's hard to filter through all the Gator haters drivel. No lap needed.

You want to use that same reasoning with your new coach? Both turned around programs. Either both proved that or both didn't.

Sure thing, sport.

But there's a difference. We don't know how well Mullen will do at UF. We know what happened with Mac.

I'm more of a show me rather than claim a bunch of bullshite type of guy. You should try it.

You seem like a retard. I'd say LSU, UF, and UGA are possibly the easiest schools to right the ship... quickly that is, based on pure in-state talent alone.

BTW, MSU made a bowl under Mullen every year except his first season. He had a .600 winning percentage compared to Jackie Sherill's .500, and Sylvester Crooms .356. The numbers say you have little idea about what you're predicting.

Yeah winning in the toughest division in football at MSU is totally the same thing as winning in that juggernaut of a conference at CSU. Do you guys think before you type?

Well, I am not talking about hindsight. Mac couldn't replicate his success at uf, but he no doubt was proven coming to uf.

There is most certainly doubt that he was proven. In fact, there is strong evidence that he really proved nothing other than winning 10 games one time in a lame conference.

I'm not sure why you are defending Mac so much. It's strange.
