I'm embarrassed to be an Auburn grad

Class of 07. I wasn't raised in the south. I chose Auburn of my own accord. Grew to love it over the time I spent there. I live in CO now. There is no better feeling than hearing "War Eagle" in a random city cause you're in orange and blue.
We paid Cam $180k for a natty. Worth it. If you ain't cheatin' you ain't tryin. Part of the game. Great ROI.
Hugh Freeze isn't a cheater. He's not a win-at-all costs rule-pushing genius. He's a mediocre coach with an average record. He also:
-hired hookers using the company phone
-DM'd sexual assault accusers to intimidate them
-made high school girls change out of clothing in his office
He's stupid. Character aside, he's stupid. All of this is stupid. In the general sports world, Auburn is the rebel alliance to Saban's empire. We are viewed positively. We have metric arse tons of momentum from Caddy's tenure and the chance to actually embrace positive culture. Auburn IS MORE THAN FOOTBALL.
But we will now be the butt of every well-deserved joke with this arse clown leading the charge because we can't get out of our own way. "Oh you went to the school that hired the hooker coach."
Calling it Now:
That last line will slowly spill out of the SEC college football mediasphere in the real world, forcing Auburn to fire Hugh before he ever even coaches a game. It's 2022 not 1972. This crap doesn't fly anymore.

The school is a wonderful school that has made major worldwide contributions to scientific research, technology and agricultural breakthroughs that feed people worldwide.
The athletic department on the whole, I'm fine with.
The football program is a sad cesspit run by rich, arrogant men who think their expertise in one specific area qualifies them as experts in all others. And they get more buffoonish by the year.

nope i won't. older i get the insane it becomes to me to be pissed/happy about what 18 year old men do on a football field.

Hugh Freeze will never win 10 games at Auburn. He won't win 9. He'll be lucky to scratch 8, and that could take a few years.

Everybody already knows this and yet the hire was made. So unless he speedruns a similar scandal while at Auburn in the offseason he's going to coach.

my point was that most every program cheats. he isn't run of the mill cheater line pusher.

I think you are actually known as one of the most morally bankrupt schools in America. You are tied for 5th all time in major infraction cases. Your boosters made up a lie about Harsin cheating on his wife in an effort to get rid of him and almost nobody came to his defense. frick Auburn.
