re: A $5,000 payment would not cause inflation

ok so now you get $4,000 that would've been spent on taxes to spend on something else. that's still demand.
even if it's in and investment account, that still incrementally drives the stock market up, and thus the "wealth effect" which is inflationary.

we can't have our cake and eat it too.

not gonna read this whole thread.
this isn't rocket science y'all. supply and demand.
we're talking about dumping over $1T straight into people's pockets all at once.
that increases demand for everything without any ability to counter it with an instant supply boost. price go up.
the federal house cleaning has been stellar but don't lose your ability to call a spade a spade. there is simply no way to do this without domestic inflation.

where do y'all draw the line? what combo of actions and character disqualify someone from being AU's head coach?
i saw the PSU comparison in here. tbh same type of groupthink mentality is what let that go on for so long. gotta call BS when you see it. freeze is BS.

he's gonna screw up again.
he hasn't paid any pittance.
he's going to embarrass us more in the next 3 years.
and i'd get behind LITERALLY any other coach except potato man. even chiz .
but hey it's all good, lets just totally get amped for this guy:

my point was that most every program cheats. he isn't run of the mill cheater line pusher.
and yes i know the world doesn't love AU but i like sunshine pumping up until the point where we hire a complete turd.

nope i won't. older i get the insane it becomes to me to be pissed/happy about what 18 year old men do on a football field.
this is why Caddy was such a breathe of fresh air. i want us to win. but not trash our rep on the way there.

Class of 07. I wasn't raised in the south. I chose Auburn of my own accord. Grew to love it over the time I spent there. I live in CO now. There is no better feeling than hearing "War Eagle" in a random city cause you're in orange and blue.
We paid Cam $180k for a natty. Worth it. If you ain't cheatin' you ain't tryin. Part of the game. Great ROI.
Hugh Freeze isn't a cheater. He's not a win-at-all costs rule-pushing genius. He's a mediocre coach with an average record. He also:
-hired hookers using the company phone
-DM'd sexual assault accusers to intimidate them
-made high school girls change out of clothing in his office
He's stupid. Character aside, he's stupid. All of this is stupid. In the general sports world, Auburn is the rebel alliance to Saban's empire. We are viewed positively. We have metric arse tons of momentum from Caddy's tenure and the chance to actually embrace positive culture. Auburn IS MORE THAN FOOTBALL.
But we will now be the butt of every well-deserved joke with this arse clown leading the charge because we can't get out of our own way. "Oh you went to the school that hired the hooker coach."
Calling it Now:
That last line will slowly spill out of the SEC college football mediasphere in the real world, forcing Auburn to fire Hugh before he ever even coaches a game. It's 2022 not 1972. This crap doesn't fly anymore.
War Eagle anyway...

this is accurate. i've lived in denver for 3 years and i've met some people who work for CU.
generally there are significant parts of their admin that simply view athletics as a waste/drain on education. they don't want to be competitive and would be happier if football didn't exist.

i think we've got a ways to go. this entire thing is built on the back of the fed. can't safely call a bottom until their positioning changes to "we've done enough"

they don't get it. i'm 100% pro trump and 0% pro-biden. but i'm still downvoted to oblivion because everyone is hell bent on seeing this as left vs right when in reality both sides are selling us out because of the low rate addiction, as you say.
we just went through a recession with 0 bankruptcies and stocks still pushing all time high relentlessly. the inflation started in assets and has now trickled down to consumer goods and wages. central bankers have decided they have abolished recessions and are ok with massive inflation as the consequence.

i dont like biden. i dont want biden in office. biden's policies suck and we needed to pull unemployment benefits in early 2021.
but pretending like printing billions and dumping them into financial markets...0% corporate loans, buying MBS forever doesnt make an impact is shortsighted. endless stimulus...thats how you get a wage/price spiral that we're just starting to feel right now.

inflation is 90% a function of the federal reserve. we'd have it with trump too, just not quite as bad.

meanwhile china has started tightening. we are playing into their hands with this relentless printing...this might actually be the inflection point where they actually take over the global economy.
re: WORK stock?

i had jan 2022 $40 calls on this that i sold yesterday without regret.
best case scenario the deal falls through but the stock stays up and goes on to pump to a stupid high PE ratio like the rest of the covid memes (ZM, etc). otherwise CRM buys it in the 40s, or it just fades back down. on to the next play...

he's only quitting because he already has a better "job" lined up. CGR or HMS most likely options.

i think y'all are getting this wrong. he's stepping down because he's got a better offer. promotion. real ride. will probably end up at ganassi or (i'd be shocked) hendrick.
