I'm curious to see how Missouri does this year.

They were last years sleeper team in the SEC going 11-2 and beating Ohio State in their bowl game. Nobody, absolutely nobody saw that coming. I've read they return 80% of their offense and 60% of their defense. Drink looks like a complete dork and is corny as heck, but I think the man can coach a football team. Time will tell, but if he puts together another great season he's gonna be a sought after commodity for other schools looking for an upgrade.

The other day I tried to mentally put together a preseason ranking for funsies and surprised myself with how high I had them. I think it's a combination of them legit bringing bakc a solid roster and having a favorable scheudle. They don't have to play Georgia, Texas, LSU, Tennesee, or ole miss. They do get the 4 teams that are pretty unanimously going to be cited as the bottom 4 teams in the league. As far as schedules go it's about as """easy""" as you could ask for. Oh and their OOC slate is essentially 4 high schools.
They should win 8 games without even barely breaking a sweat. Break even on the 4 others and they're looking a potential playoff bid.

Mizzou @ Texas A&M could be an underrated game.

If aTm takes care of ND, both teams very likely will be undefeated (maybe both top 10) for our week 6 showdown. If that's the case it'll be the game of the week.

Let’s hold up a minute. Yeah, Missouri went 11-2 last year, but Dinky went 5-5, and 6-7 twice before that. I don’t know if I’d be crowning him as some amazing coach.

The first two posters, have put more thoughtful analysis into this than probably the majority of national poll participants and certainly more than most here. I think their comments are spot on.
I too am eager to see if we can avoid the road bump that seems to occur every year in which we start with high expectations.
As another poster points out, we likely will not have this answer until the A&M game.
I will point out that with a salary of $9 million and recruiting in a state with a very favorable NIL law, I don’t see Drink moving on to greener pastures in the very near future.

True. Last year may have been a flash in a pan but they've played us hard the last 2 years, harder than anyone not named Bama and Ohio State. Also Drink was hired in 2019 and came into a horrible situation with the covid era and the BLM division that rocked the state and campus. He also doesn't have the resources of a Saban or Smart. He may very well implode. I think he's shown a vast improvement the last couple of years given the resources at his disposal. Like I said, I'm curious.

Missouri will do well this year.
Because they have more cupcakes on their schedule than a little Debbie display isle. They avoid UGA. Texas, LSU, Ole Miss and Tennessee. The do have to face Alabama and Okkie.

We've all got those. You're better than this.

Missouri has a very good team and a favorable schedule. They could do really well this year.

5-5 with an all SEC schedule. Would have been a 9ish win season

Not really.
But get used to it, because you're going to hear it from the national media all season.

Might want to hold up chief, Pittman has had one 8 win reg season after only winning 4 last year. Drink has turned the corner IMO

He may want to win something, 55 years since last co-conference championship at mizzou

This is getting stale Audust. Everyone knows Mizzou can't get over the hump. They are a tough out though.
