The ones melting right now became fans in 2009. Some is us had to live through Perkibs, Dubose, Fran and Shula. The jury is still out on DeBoer. If he succeeds that's great. If not, we'll move on. It's out of fan's control either way.

I dont disagree with anything you are saying. But we have experienced these failures. Bama has not experienced them in the last 15 or so years. We have been here and look like we will stay here. Bama hasnt been here in a very long time. Which lead me to start this thread.

New head coach, new coaching staff, over 40% of the scholarship roster was first year players as true freshmen or first year transfers. Of course there were going to be some growing pains
I expected two or three losses this season. I expect this board as usual will have to adjust the narrative next season.

It feels amazing to be an Alabama fan. We are the greatest program in history with a young head coach who will be just fine.

Me too. I've seen 2 dynasties. 3 losses are nothing. The first 3 years i watched Bama they went 6-5 for three straight years. 68 thru 70 were the first years i was a fan. This littke blip is nothing to me.

Bama was never that dominant once Kirby left

When you refer to “the decline” you act as if Bama has never experienced a decline. After Bear retired in 1982 and died a few months later I watched a major decline. There were a few bright spots over the years but only one Natty in 1992. Bear’s last Natty was the 1979 season. We endured Perkins, Curry, Dubose, Franchione and Shula along with Stallings who was sandwiched in there for the 92 Natty and a coach who never coached a single game. Dumbose even managed an SEC title.
To answer your question, how does it feel, the future isn’t as bright as it was with Saban but that’s obvious to everyone. I’m just glad I’m not a Vol fan, an LSU fan, a Georgia fan or an Aub regardless of whatever record they put up.

The t-shirt fans that jumped on the bandwagon in the Saban era are the ones melting. The rational ones that were around from maybe the Perkins era and obviously the ones that suffered through the end of Dubose's reign and Shula's are probably not taking it to hard. Yet.
