I understand, but I figured people would be enjoying this once a decade opportunity.

That's TWO posts in a row that you've figured something that is wrong. Don't'ya think it's about to time to give your "figuring" a break!

$100,000 isn't what it used to be. If that is his total household income and he has a couple of kids, I wouldn't expect him to be able to afford trips to Hawaii, etc.

Truth. I've only been to Hawaii twice in my life. I did go to The Eddie this year. That was a cool event.

Then stop all the "LSU Grad Alabama Fan" crap..it's disingenuous.

it's enough to leave birmingham

it's not, unless he worded things intentionally deceptively

why not? And who said hawaii? I was taking cross country football "vacations" on a $10/hour wage. It's all about personal choice. Someone who earns 6 figures can undoubtedly, most certainly, without a shadow of a doubt be able to fly to a vacation a few states away within the US if they had any kind of acumen regarding personal financial responsibiliyt. But if you eat out twice a day every day, go to starbucks every morning, trade in your leased vehicle every 12 months, buy the latest jordans and beats every year, buy the newest iphone the day it comes out, etc...then yeah. You're probhably not going to be able to afford to leave north/central alabama.

He mentioned travel to "exotic locations." Driving to College Station or Baton Rouge to watch a football game is not my idea of an exotic vacation, but it is all in the viewpoint.

No need to apologize. Tuscaloosa hasn’t worked since he was fired for diddling his daughter, so he’s not one to talk.

You really should get there a bit earlier before the men show up and have the coffee ready.
