Worth the read. Saban had a very good role model growing up, that much is certain.
And while I hate watching his team run over UK whenever the two play, he has done an amazing job with Bama, and it sounds like he cares about the community in which he lives.
Thanks for the read

So he doesn't want attention for giving but he does something that allows him attention for giving? And did he give so much it hurts? Has he given enough that he doesn't live like a king? Nope. His giving is meaningless about him as a person.
Jeez, you sound like a miserably cynical person.

I look forward to his retirement.

He’s got nothing left to prove as a college football coach.
Coach Saban has quite a few goals left to be conquered
1) Win three NC in a row
2) Win 6 NC at Alabama, tying him with Coach Bryant at Alabama and breaking the record for NC all-time for a division 1 coach with 7 (6 at Bama, 1 at LSU)
I think he coaches until Jan 2022 (end of 2021 season), which gives him 15 years at Alabama
Four more years..... Four more years, and 3 more NC

if you know so much about Saban cheating, maybe you can share the info you have with any other SEC/B1G school and stop all this. I'm guessing you are a liar and have nothing to offer, just spouting off on your mother's computer because you won't say anything to someone's face.

I got nothing bad to say about Satan! I just hate Alabama.

I wonder if sabans son feels the same way about him that Nick felt about his father.

No reference to him running up Mt Everest to bring his coach/dad a leaf to prove he ran to the top?

The aftermath of Tornado Day, and numerous stories about his charitable work since, have greatly changed my outlook on him. This story comes as no surprise, as it appears he really is a decent, caring guy despite his frequently gruff exterior.
I've said this many times before, but in my opinion, 4/27/11 changed Saban, however much, as a person. It changed me too, as well as most others who experienced that, or experienced Katrina, etc.
I believe that Saban's demeanor has changed after that. I think that he fully realized how quickly, and easily life can be completely flipped upside down, or taken. You have to enjoy it a little bit, and not take the little and big things for granted. Like all of us that day, he realized what exactly is important in this life.

Times can get very hard in mining towns. The world could use more good men like Saban Sr.

I’ve always said: even though he comes across as a condescending, arrogant prick it’s not who he actually is. He is one of the deepest and most caring celebrities that have ever taken a breath.
