This should be introduced into a psychology class on the study of Cults...Love the part where he blames "Rosebowl" for ruining a family and not Freeze. The burden to care for the Freeze family was on Hugh Freeze, no one else.

That post breaks my heart because I like Rebels AC.

Wanderin Reb brought the fricking THUNDAHH in that thread tho.

Dude...I like the shite out of you, but you've got to let it go.

Freeze was an incompetent idiot at best; a cheating, kying scumbag at worst. Either one is something we don't need and something our AD stood behind for far too long. The bad he has caused this program will never be outweighed by the good. It's going to take triple the time we spent being happy to recover our image and get back to anything near relevant.

I'd argue he did more to destroy this program than Nutt did. At least he didn't destroy our entire image.

It's been beyond time to move on. I've been fed up with his holler than thou, untouchable attitude since draft night. He's acted like he was spotless this whole time, and that was completely untrue.

frick Freeze. frick Bjork. frick it all. Burn it down.

No one would care that Freeze had an affair or possibly even that he used escorts--except for his portrayal as a Super Christian.

No one would have cared that Bobby Petrino had an affair or even that he had an accident with a married woman on his bike--except that he had hired the woman for a position in the athletic department.

It's not the affair that makes it big news, it's the extra stuff.

Petrinos side piece was engaged, not married iirc.

Petrinos pressed wearing the collar gave that scandal so much panache and bombast. Freezes only has a smoking gun. Just your average run of the mill gotcha.

I will admit that the guy sounds like a great motivator. I bet his players love him.

Is this the last black bear coach they let Archie find?

You're correct but so is he with the below on why he was fired.

except that he had hired the woman for a position in the athletic department.

I've finally gotten to the point where I can at that picture now.

Engaged

This + gave her a cash "gift" of $25,000

AND lying to your Boss about the entire ordeal all the way up until they find the evidence of the "gift."

The big difference between the Petrino collapse and the ongoing Ole Miss melt down is that as soon as Long realized how bad things really were he fired Petrino.

Ole Miss let the Freeze saga linger well past the point they should have cut bait.

If you are spurting arterial blood all over the place the time to go to the doctor is right then. It won't get any better if you try to ignore it.

I hope the fans who blame Long for firing Petrino realize now just how bad things can get if you don't have integrity in your program.

Bjork would have found a way to sweep the "motorcycle accident" under the rug and keep Petrino. All to try to win more football games.

Ole Miss is about to enter a dark age of football and it's because they have zero integrity in their administration.
