If you had ten additional points to distribute across your team's football history...

How would you distribute them?

For Mississippi State, I would give us 6 in the 2014 game against Alabama - that would have given us the West and a probable playoff spot.

I'd give the other 4 points to the 2010 Auburn game because to hell with Cam Newton.

It is tempting to throw 7 at the 1980 Florida game, which would have given MSU the SEC title and kept Georgia from winning a national title in the last 40 years.

I'd put them all on the 2010 SEC Championship game.

Here's a question, could I use 1 point for an overtime loss to turn that into a win, or would I have to use 1 more than what the final score was in OT?

1 point in regulation gives you a win. I thought about two OT losses in 2000 that would have given us the West as well - but I really hate Cam Newton and that Auburn season.

2 points to the shootout against Texas in '69. 8 to the LSU game in '65. Arkansas would be 4-time national champions - 64, 65, 69, and 77. Arkansas would be considered a Big-6, Blueblood school if this happened. Unfortunately, you cannot change the past.

That's easy.

2012 - 4 vs Florida (lost 20-17)
2012 - 6 vs LSU (lost 24-19)

hmm that does change things

another option for LSU besides what i posted would be:

2 points for 1959 Tennessee
4 points 1969 Ole Miss
1 point 1987 Ohio State
2 points 2002 Arkansas
1 point 2005 Tennessee

that's probably the most bang for LSU's buck. Would definitely add 1 more NC, possibly up to 3, plus another SECW title

8 points to beat Colorado in 1969 (would have been 32-31). Would have given us an undefeated regular season, and possible share of national title

Additional 2 points to beat Nebraska, 40-38 in 1997

Not for only 10 points.

That distro makes A&M 12-0 going into the SEC title game against Georgia in 2012, possibly 14-0 on the season.

Just give me 5 vs Clemson in 2016.

It’s crazy Bama was 1 second away in 2013 from playing in a NC game and 1 second away from a NC game against Clemson. That would have given them a run of three straight Nc twice in one decade 2011,2012, 2013 and 2015,2016 and 2017.
