I don't disagree with any of this but I'd like to hear from bama fans that went out to Pasadena last year. What did you do. I ask because likely if you're employed it's no a long trip.
I'm a student so yea I didn't have a job at the time.
We were there for 4 days. The lucky folks found Lakers tickets, but we spent a day Hollywood/Beverly hills, a day in Santa Monica, then Pasadena for the game.
My only complaint is that LA treats the national championship as if it were some irrelevant event. Most people in the city don't care, but that's to be expected in such a sprawling area I suppose. New Orleans probably shuts down for a football championship, everyone in the city probably knows what is happening that weekend.

NOLA is the best cause all the fans go to one place...the quarter. It's crazy and perfect for huge games. Anyone who has ever been to a huge game in NOLA knows exactly what I'm talking about... it's not as "spread out" as some of the other cities that host bowl games with fans scattered everywhere.
you get crazy fan interaction which I enjoy.

Why does it have to be in one of the 4 BCS cities? I think Jacksonville could handle it and the stadium had a really nice lay out. I enjoyed it. So I go with Rose Bowl #1 and Jacksonville #2

Pasadena (by miles, just because of the history of the stadium and Los Angeles is pretty cool)
Miami (beaches, hot babes, etc.)
New Orleans (Fun, but I've been there a lot)
Glendale (I have no idea wtf is there to be honest)

It's not necessarily just about the stadium IMO...it's about the days leading up to the game and fan interaction/fan central-ization. Miami and LA are too spread out (as is DFW for that matter).
Honestly, I really don't go to NOLA a lot on a regular basis, but for big (especially college) games, NOLA and the quarter is the shite.

Beaches, Malibu, Hollywood, Lakers/Clippers game, Tar Pits, etc. etc.

NOLA or Miami for me. I don't think I'd care for the others.

I agree with the centralized part. However, everthing else is against NOLA when compared to Pasadena and Miami.
Speaking for Miami, it is miles and miles ahead of NOLA for:
1. Scenery (the natural kind). Beaches. Water. Tropical. Pretty.
2. Nightlife. There is no comparison.
3. Women. Again, no comparison.
4. Things to do in general. Miami has absolutely endless entertainment options. NOLA has the quarter.
5. Weather. NOLA can be very cold at times in Jan. Miami is practically never cold.

1) venue - certainly capable at almost 80,000
2) accomodations - can handle it
3)attractions - North Riverwalk - South Riveralk, Jacksonville Beaches (unpredictable in January)
4) transportation - got good public transportation in the downtown area.

New Orleans without a doubt. Being able to walk from the French quarter to the superdome is such a convenience. The Orange Bowl is terrible as far as proximity. Fort Lauderdale ( which is where the Orange Bowl is now played) has great areas to party, but they are several miles from the stadium. I have heard Glendale is just as bad. I have never been to Pasadena so I can't comment on the RoseBowl.

Not true. The game is played off Miami Gardens Drive. About 10 minutes from 95. 15 minutes from the beaches. It is in North Miami / Aventura. About 10 minutes north of Miami and 15 south of fort lauderdale.
It is basically the perfect location. South there are unlimited clubs, bars and resturants, north there is fort lauderdale. Most people stay 10-15 minutes east of the stadium on the intracoastal or beaches which are awesome.
I live on the intracoastal between 1-2 exits up from the stadium. I can practically see the lights from the balcony since I am pretty high up. As far as south florida goes, there is not a much better location for access to both lauderdale and miami.
Sure you cannot walk to the stadium. But you can cab it or drive a short distance. And people come here for several days. Not a single night to walk to a stadium, some bars, then go home. NOLA gets very old very fast (I have been many times). South Florida does not get old after 1-2 nights.

They should add Vegas to the NCG rotation... not that there's a proper stadium, but...

I think NCAA isn't the biggest fan of Vegas.

FWIW, I'd rather Glendale than Miami.
