“ LSU head coach Brian Kelly: He's never quite fully fit at LSU, despite the winning (a 34-12 record, 5-1 and No. 10 ranking this season), so perhaps he takes a look. Like Franklin, it hasn't been enough to satisfy fans because of national championship expectations. Kelly is a Northeast native who spent most of his career in the Midwest at Notre Dame, Cincinnati and other stops. He has won everywhere he's been. It would be a splash to take a coach from a top-tier SEC school, too.”
I laughed out loud -good one!
Thanks! I had not heard of that. That will work well for me too.
Sorry the emoji that I used created 2 question marks that were totally unintended. That’s a great article.
“Posts like these always makes me wonder what gets posted on aggie message boards and how they still find things to talk about”
This made me laugh out loud!??
I agree. The Hound is an excellent place to eat. I really like eating breakfast there. It is right smack in the middle of downtown Auburn.. There are a couple of parking decks which you will probably have to use. The parking deck next to the hound fills up quickly, but there’s a new one across the street- I believe it’s Gay Street. (that really is the name of the street).

Thanks for the data!
What a cool story! Thanks for sharing it.
Thank you for posting the photos!
I am really enjoying this thread.
1947Freshman, did you see YA Tittle play? or did you miss him by a year?

My guess is that this is before 1950. I do not see Hatcher Hall and Hodges Hall. I believe both dorms were built in the late 1940s. Or, I suppose they may be there, but just not in the photo. It seems we would see some of Hatcher Hall in that photo though.
Pretty sure it is the JW Marriott next to the hockey arena ( across from Harbour Island).
I went there last night and saw all sorts of signs in there saying welcome LSU. It certainly looked like a team hotel to me. That area (Channelside District of Tampa) is really nice.
I enjoyed reading about this -thank you. I started following SEC football around 1978 ( on AM radio, lol ), so I am not very knowledgeable about the SEC prior to that time.
Wow! I just watched the entire documentary. If this sort of thing is a hobby for you, then you missed your calling. That was extremely professional. I really liked the music that you picked throughout the documentary. Very well done!
Wow- thanks for sharing that. I remember the day that he died. I was in shock. I kept wondering how a 40 year old athlete would collapse suddenly like that.
6-6, and I wondered if even that was with my purple and gold glasses on.
