My guess is that this is before 1950. I do not see Hatcher Hall and Hodges Hall. I believe both dorms were built in the late 1940s. Or, I suppose they may be there, but just not in the photo. It seems we would see some of Hatcher Hall in that photo though.

I enjoyed reading about this -thank you. I started following SEC football around 1978 ( on AM radio, lol ), so I am not very knowledgeable about the SEC prior to that time.

Wow- thanks for sharing that. I remember the day that he died. I was in shock. I kept wondering how a 40 year old athlete would collapse suddenly like that.
