I like the way they did that. The AD whores are gonna all do this before too long to keep up the arms race so you might as well have a good strategy for it. This is about as good as a school can hope for.

Bingo! All these folks in here hollering "trashy and sell out" are going to be shocked when everyone does it within the next year or two.

As you stated, NIL has turned it into an arms race.

Those laughing will find out, or they will be crying because their school got left behind in the money.

Bama was going to try to do it the way Greenbay does and have the citizens of Tuscaloosa just chip in 100.00 each but they realized they would only get about 350 bucks and those folks wanted sideline access.

years is a long damn agreement. Could be a good or bad thing. The way CFB is growing could be undervalued

The biggest value in this deal is not selling naming rights to someone that sees the only value in their name being on it

I hate the idea of UT having a Kroger field or Papa John stadium situation. I was concerned that it would become Clayton Homes stadium or Dolly Parton presents Neyland Stadium.

Per the SECrant, Tennessee does everything better than anyone else in the SEC. Well, everything except win football games.

I would laugh my arse off if Jimmy Rane bought the rights to Bryant-Denny, and renamed it YellaWood Stadium.

As a rule that has been the case under the new AD. It’s a small sample size but since he was brought on in 21 it’s an accurate statement.

I think you mean to say with the amount of inflation that goes on because college football isn't growing at all.
I mean I don’t think even an aggressive forecast could adequately predict the inflation that may occur over the course of 20 years…

And funny how you say CFB isn’t growing despite the record TV deals and NIL contracts being thrown around…

We'll stamp Made in Korea on it, and no one will think it's out of place.

That seems logical. Give your biggest rival $10-20 million a year they can use to recruit against you.

I’ve never bought gas from Pilot. Always thought it was low quality and primarily for the poors to fill up their IROC Zs and Trans Ams.

Seems to be an appropriate sponsor for the Vols.

It is a long period of time, no doubt.

But the record TV deals and all that stuff is a mix of inflation and money being taken away from smaller schools/conferences and now going to only a few. Bowl games are doing less and less, attendance in stadiums lags, etc.

Inflation alone will basically always give an increase.

Even the NIL mostly benefits the 1% and not the 99% of players as far as any bigger numbers.

Playoffs expanding to make more teams eligible because people think if they aren't in the playoffs or a contender, there isn't much point. So that's basically drumming up interest artificially.

ESPN was pumping Texas and Oklahoma to the SEC to save money.

I'm sure Georgia's recent success is an increase in your particular fan base, but college football on a whole is not on the increase.
