I'm sure the REC will sneak Vandy in there somehow

Trust me Alabama is not wanting to play Texas A&M, LSU and Ole Miss on a permanent basis moving forward, regardless of past games played.

More like Auburn, Tennessee and Mississippi State.

Georgia’s are easy: Auburn, Florida, South Carolina. I think you’d pull 80% if you did a poll of Georgia fans on that.

No more Vols?

Traditionally our three have been Georgia, Auburn and Alabama, but wait a minute, .... had the Delorean set for the wrong year.

In fairness, the SEC changing locations also f'ed up UGA's schedule. We now have Fl. & GT both H or A the same years.

I don’t get the fascination with completing the home and away every four years. I wish they’d stay at 8 games, 4 permanent opponents

I agree. Trying to do this in 4 yrs. ruins SEC history & rivalry.
Do they want it quick or right?

Auburn, Tennessee, LSU. But don't really care.

You say that now, but if you get South Carolina, Vandy and Mizzou you'd lose your mind

For LSU- my 3 most anticipated games are Auburn, Florida and Alabama. Sadly, I don't think they will make the cut, as I assume those schools have games that mean more to them
(Auburn- UGA and Bama; Alabama- Auburn and Tennessee; Florida- UGA and Tennessee). And then, I expect the conference will protect the 'little guys' by giving them a marquee opponent annually.

I could see LSU getting A&M and the Mississippi schools. It wouldn't be the same.

You won't get both MS schools.

You will get 1 from TX, 1 from MS, and probably Arky

If so, I'd prefer A&M, Ole Miss and Arky.

Not to make you feel all warm and fuzzy, but I remember the series from the 80's and that was a lot of fun. Our programs seem to be a good fit, well matched generally. I don't feel much connection with Texas at all.

No offense to State, but if you look historically at LSU matchups, it was always Ole Miss that produced the closest thing to an annual "I hate your fricking guts" rivalry in the past. That seems to have died down some, but I suppose it's the closest thing we have to a traditional matchup honored by both sides. I never knew any LSU fans who were passionate about hating Miss State.

Arkansas, I kinda put similar to the A&M matchup. Neighboring state, solid program historically, not a matchup to be ashamed of, but just doesn't generate the level of excitement we get playing a traditional SEC power... I still see both Arky and A&M as SWC teams.

One thing I DON'T want to see, is the SEC split into 2 sides, and LSU getting pushed into the "new SWC" with Texas, Arky, A&M, and now toss in Oklahoma and Mizzou. It wouldn't be a terrible RPI matchup, but it's not traditional SEC either. But I could see that happening, and you add in the Miss schools too. Maybe not officially right now, but you're going to have to do something with a conference this big.

Bama, Vandy, and Ole Miss. I'm not a Georgia native so I couldn't care less about playing them every year.
