That was Mullen average at msu

Which is still 8, I counted the Bowl Game which was won by his skeleton staff, so we can assume that if he hadn't left he'd've won that game, too.

If you want it to be 7.66 instead of 7.77 I'm fine with that.

Mullen's first recruiting class at Florida was the best one he's ever signed and he only had a few months to put it together and the last two HCs didn't recruit top ten talent for 15 years.

There's about 95% of what you didn't quote that's in direct reference of him being in MSU, retard.

Do you think it's easier to get recruited and evaluated in Atlanta or say Podunk, AL or Podunk, TN? Demographic placement - that is to say cities - matter a great deal and the larger the better if you want to be recruited for any sport. Recruiting services aren't going to go to every little Podunk town and evaluate and often those schools don't have the resources to train kids the same way a city school can. The growth in TN HS football is directly tied to the growth in population in and around Nashville and Knoxville (Nowhere-ville isn't being checked out). Nashville is responsible for most of it by far and population growth and density are both tied into why as are the sheer amount of resources a city like Nashville has over even larger towns.

There are developed and developing 'talent' schools and most of them are located in and around population centers and that's where evaluators go. It's also where plenty of 4*s and 3*s are spotted beside 5* players. It's a rare day that any kid who comes from a small town ever gets a look from anyone let alone from recruiting services and if he does it's because his parents drove him to a camp being hosted in Atlanta, Nash or Knox etc. or otherwise drove him to a camp being held at the school. Hell, recruiting services wait on that moment (usually tentative but real contact by a school due to camps) to rank kids like that.

If nothing else think of it like this: Would you rather take a visit to Atlanta, Orlando, and Miami to try and evaluate a huge number of prospects OR make 1000 trips to several small towns?

You put crap on a message board... then you should expect to get crapped on.

You even know better when it comes to this 2018 class, and you do this shite anyway.

Its literally what it is. 7.66 wins per season and 5.11 losses per season. There is no rounding in FB. This isn't math class.

Don't think it matters especially for blue chippers.A CFB scout is sometimes going to gravitate to the larger school systems and regions on the sheer amount of prospects but look at Nick Chubb...played in a shite region in a smaller classification.Didn't stop anyone from recruiting em.

If a kid can play he's gonna get recruited. Why do you think SEC schools hire DOZENS evaluators and administrative assistants?
It's their job to find these kids. With social media and podcast there are very little secrets in recruiting.

It's also where the best competition is and can sometimes work against a talented kid who can get lost in the shuffle of multitudes of prospects

Well, some kids peak in high school too, whereas others continue to improve once they get to college. Recruiting is far from an exact science.

So is the NFL draft but I'll take my chances with as many blue chip kids as I can get on my roster

It is not perfect, but results typically follow recruiting with competent coaching and development.

Sorry, recruiting services aren't the reason SEC rosters are loaded with Florida and Georgia kids or the reason why Louisiana puts so many kids in the NFL

I don't think anyone or anything scares Saban in the least bit. You don't become King of the hill by being scared of anything.

For those mocking UGA's excitement, I get it. But those laughing about "same ole, same ole" need to take another look. Go back to Ray Goff and tally our Oline rankings. Then compare to kirbys last 2 classes. That is why UGA is building for a sustainable run. Richt couldn't match either class with his 15 year sum total....which is why touting his class rankings is meaningless IMO.

If you are fan enough to post here you understand where games are won and lost. Id take a pro left tackle over AJ Green all day, every day. And I love AJ green

Nowhere near. That roster he used last year will be the least talented he possibly ever coaches again. The recruiting writer for the AJC looked at the state of Georgia for this recruiting cycle and recruits that right now tend to lean UGA and says if we are just able to continue well, a modest guess would put 2019's class near 2018 if not better. And that's assuming Smart and staff don't get guys like Campbell, Mays, etc. next year.
