or the message is: don’t lose to the only 2 good teams you play and expect to get in from a weak conference.

lol ya'll always say Clemson would be a mid team in the SEC.

Bama won its SEC games by a higher margin than Clemson won its ACC games the year Clemson blew out Alabama. ACC competitiont prepared us for that moment.

SMU is in, Alabama is out, per Clay Travis

Clemson did this to you, Alabama. Not only did we beat SMU, we made it look like a fluke with a 56 yard fi eld goal.

Clemson would be South Carolina in the SEC. You fricks have no idea what it’s like playing an SEC gauntlet.

two SEC teams, or one SEC team and ND, have had a shot to knock off Clemson every year of the 4 team playoff run in the regular season.

they didn't get it done. this was the first season two SEC teams beat Clemson in regular season, during the playoff era.

SOS is dead, and so is OOC games

And so are conference championships.

We're giving all of this up so that a panel of people can decide for us who can and can't play in a 12-team playoff.

Is this really what college football consumers have demanded?

It would suck for SMU to get left out after playing one extra game and losing it.

By the same token, if they get in then every power 5 team on the planet needs to immediately cancel every non conference scheduled opponent they have, including fsu and Wisconsin on Bamas schedule next year. You want to kill college football once and for all? Send that message.

Too much money on the line for the OOC games not to happen.
