Tessus does not net $15 million from the LHN. Tessus fans lie to make you think they are something they are not.
Tessus and ESPiN split $11.6 million in 2018. Less than $6 million is a long way from $15 million.
Texas A&M - College Footballs Most Valuable Team
There are costs that ESPiN passes along to our little brothers since 1876!

Texas in the SEC would be a disaster for the conference.
You think Alabama cheats? You think Alabama poisons the well?
They ain't got nothing on Texas.
I'm not afraid of anybody and I don't pout over a stupid game like a child. But Texas is toxic and they always have been.

he said the same thing about the texas QB, ellinger. basically implied he was too big to tackle. he apparently has a thing for big burly men

It doesn't say "stronger than Roquan" dipshit. Nor was that the intent. Solid effort though.

If Texas would come, it would be under the SEC's terms, not theirs. In other words bye bye Longhorn Network. It's why they probably should have gone independent like Notre Dame and affiliate yourself with another conference. Not really sure Longhorn Network has long term staying power. They would need a NBC Notre Dame type deal instead.
OU is married to the hip with Oklahoma St but I'm not sure really why? They have nothing to gain with them and they really hold all the cards and could make them irrelevant in their state.
I would love OU and Texas and kick out two because I don't want the SEC to get any bigger than it already is although I think expansion is not done by a longshot especially with TV contract issues the Pac 12 and Big 12 are having. I'm also not convinced the ACC network will thrive like the SEC Network has.

Kline777 has usurped Wild Thang as the Rant's worst poster, a monumental achievement.

Conference networks in general will fail long term. The only network that has a chance of staying viable is the SEC network because of the fanbase support overall for "conference", which isn't present in any other league.
There was never any consumer demand for conference networks in the first place. They're a revenue generator conceived by conference commissioners in the age of cable television. I don't believe for a second that conference networks can stand on their own in the marketplace.

It's based on content.
The SEC has a substantial following conference-wide in the following sports besides football and men's basketball:
Baseball
Gymnastics
Track and Field
Softball
The Big Ten hasn't been relevant in baseball since the 1960s and the PAC 12 poorly managed and marketed their network. Note I said networks - plural. The PAC 12 requires carriers to take all six networks, one for each member state.

According to its contract with the university, ESPN’s payments to Texas started at $10,980,000 per year, increasing by 3 percent annually until 2031, or an average of just under $15 million each year.

BDF is so terrible that they cannot find anyone to televise their conference championship game. Texas and the other dwarfs

and the lack of a conference network has had a negative effect on the big 12

What? Football? That's the only reason they play it is for the TV money.

So, ABC/ESPN isn’t television. Wrong again aggy. BTW, I drove by TIAA Bank Field here in JAX on the 31st. There was some kind of sub-relevant bowl game here in town comparable to a FL state high school championship going on with few in attendance. NC ST and some milkmen
