No. The only team that can lose a CCG and still make the cut is Notre Dame. Certainly not an SEC team.
The media is in love with Ohio St, they could have lost a game, won their CCG and still would have been selected.
The Southeast has surged ahead of the rest of the country regarding football and there is danger it could become a regional sport, more than it is already. College football needs the big ten to get better and needs the PAC to be better on the national stage.

LSU would have punted to Florida with the game tied. There is no guarantee that Florida would have won in regulation or overtime.
It is possible that LSU would have won in OT.

Florida was out when they lost that lsu game. Mullen was arrogant, thought he could spend the lsu week resting his best players for bama and practicing for bama, disregarded lsu based on how shitty they had been. Even if they had ended up winning the bama game they were still out. That lsu loss was just too bad, and there were 5 teams with 0 or 1 loss to choose from

No. As well as UF played, the 6 point margin was a little misleading. Bama led by 10+ most of the 2nd half and by 14 with 9 min and 4 min left. UF never had the ball with a chance to tie or win except with 16 sec and 88 yards away at the end. I think few really thought UF was ever going to win other than UF fans.
UF would have ended up with 2 losses and no team with 2 losses has ever made it in. Not saying they would not have have been one of the top 4, just that the Committee would not have included them because of the 2 losses.

UF essentially was out of the playoffs once they lost to LSU; the conference title was the only thing that would've allowed UF to move ahead of A&M (if UF only had 1 loss).
I guess I was just using too much common sense. A close game to #1 at the end of the season is so much better than a blowout loss, imo. I get the loss to A&M, but again, they finished #5 and it was a close game, so essentially, Florida would have lost two close games to two top 5 teams.

Well I'll put it like this.
UF is not Notre Dame. Its not Clemson. Its not Ohio State. Its not Alabama.
They had no shot of getting in with 2 losses.

Nope, they would still have 2 losses.

A 2 loss team that didn't win their conference will never ever be in tbe playoffs. Use your head

mostly meaningless conference championship game
The CFP even destroyed the meaning of the SECCG.
Or was it the SEC constantly hooking Bama up that did that?
