Why has he not hired another DC in three weeks? The GOAT is falling off

He’s doing everything he can to get Pruitt approved. Pretty obvious.

Chris Low for sure said that Saban did not want Golding to leave. Now, he probably wasn't fighting to keep him the way he did Kirby when Richt tried to hire him after 2009, but he said he was not gonna fire him.

I'm not sure about BOB, but I think it's interesting that BOB is going to work for one of Saban's closest friends in the coaching world and a guy he talks to regularly on the phone. A guy who is basically Saban at a higher level of football.

The scuttlebutt was that with all his personal stuff Saban wanted him to go off field but stay in the program and come back eventually. So his choice was between that and being the DC at Ole Miss, near where his now ex-wife and kids are, and he understandably chose Ole Miss.

Saban likes Golding and didn't want him to go. I don't think there was any chance he was going to be the play calling defensive coordinator next year, though. But I think Lowe is right that he didn't want him to leave the program. He likes the guy a lot and thinks he's very smart.

he's already an analyst there - he would have been promoted already

If anyone thinks any football coach would actually choose Ole Miss (or any other non big-6 SEC school) over Alabama, then they likely have a room temperature level IQ.

His agent is using all the DC’s turning down the job to secure more money for him.

The Saban/Golding case was kind of like having a girlfriend you really care about but she’s just not doing it for you any more. So instead of breaking up with her and severing all contact, you hook her up with your average buddy with significant less money. She’s happy and he’s happy, you just don’t know who you’re going to date next.

And that’s ok, but the prom is coming up and you don’t have a date.

Long story short, Saban might end up cranking off alone on prom night if he doesn’t figure something out quickly.

You'll have all next year to look at what coach Saban sent you. Speaking of falling off.

I've been telling folks this since the subject was first brought up!
The administration's NOT gonna accept it! The University of Alabama is BIGGER than its athletic Dept.!
