Look for a full court press on Jimbo Fisher from LSU.

Booooo. Plus, why would he make a lateral move. He's doing fine in Tallahassee.

Same here. How much does it bear emphasizing that he's 60 and is probably not interested in trying to rehabilitate a foundering program in his last years. That's backbreaking work and the prospect of success is by no means guaranteed. Why not go out at LSU with a chance to compete for a couple more big ones?

First off...nothing will happen unless their AD is canned. Which might happen. The only reason I see Miles consider it is due to the fact that his alma mater (one of the most storied programs in history) is in complete shambles. It has to be killing him what these two previous coaches have done, so don't think all his family and friends aren't begging him to come back home and get them back on track.

He definitely will not be going to Michigan as long as Dave Brandon is still the athletic director. No halfway decent coach will take the job just to be micromanaged by him.

But how many oil wells will your boosters offer Jimbo? That's the new currency for coaches, I hear..

I remember when Auburn was looking for a coach a few years ago, that Fisher would ONLY leave FSU for Auburn, and that he loved his time at Auburn. Mostly BS, but it's fun to belive.

:I agree, but at least he has a whole lot more connection to Auburn than he does with LSU which made it more believable than this

He beat the SEC champ last season. He has nothing to prove by joining the SEC.

So he spends 6 seasons as a QB coach for AU...then he spends seven seasons with LSU as the OC/QB coach and helped bring us our first natty in 45 years and has alot more connection with AU than LSU?? ummm..good logic there buddy

By this logic Bill Belichick would have left for the NFC West or NFC North.

Doesn't matter, he wasn't considering us (outside of using it as leverage to get a raise) same way as he wouldn't consider you guys.
