It's a little bit different when Alabama is in the middle of one of the greatest runs in college football history. LSU has been losing 2-3 games a year but A&M still can't win. Alabama has gone undefeated a lot and LSU is losing to the #1 team each time. Not a 9-3 team

If LSU beats Alabama it will be time for Saban to step down. In other words, there is absolutely no possibility that this happens

My God. I had forgotten LSU opened the century by beating Bama 9 out of 12 times.

I couldn't agree more.
In fact, I think every non-Bama fan in the universe would agree that Saban should step down if LSU beats Bama, if not sooner. He should just preemptively step down tomorrow to save himself the embarrassment of actually losing to LSU again.

Unfortunately, the risk of a mulligan is significantly higher than in 2011 because now 4 teams can get in.
Assuming, of course, we are playoff worthy in the first place. Bama is a virtual lock for the playoff.
