Alabama is gonna have their hands full with 7x NC Tennessee and 9x NC Auburn for the foreseeable future. So I can’t blame them

They definitely bitched. Nick Saban was crying about it two years ago.
No wonder the LSU fanbase is telling the administration to throw in the towel.

And what's your record against msst? When is the last time msst beat you guys, because LSU just did it in 2023. We all know you children want a easy schedule. You'd probably be happier in the ACC.
So what 3 permanent opponents are you advocating for as a LSU fan?
Alabama and who else?

Why do you think bama is scared to play you?

Who else in the conference would have 3 of the Big 6 as permanent rivals?
Easy for LSU fans to bitch about when they’ll almost certainly draw at least one permanent opponent who is a historical doormat.
Meh I think LSU fans know that OM is basically a guarantee and likely TAMU and so are overcompensating trying to force Bama.
I think most are just so attached to Bama because we WANT at least one big 6 permanent and its makes monetary sense for networks etc
Everyone knows that we are AT best number 3 on everyone’s list outside of OM and TAMU and even for those we are 2
I think everyone is secretly worried that we get stuck with majority newbies with TAMU, Ark/OU and OM.
I think most fans would love a OM, Bama/Auburn, Fla or even Bama AU Fla
My prediction is OM TAMU Fla. My preference is OM Bama/Aub Fla

How did the LSU-Arkansas Battle for the Boot become obsolete so fast?
Such a travesty.

Alabama is a dominant football team throughout time. You’re not going to find teams with 80+ games played against Alabama that are close to a 60/40 split.

We're not your rival. There's no historical significance tied to these games. There's not even a nickname tied to the series. Go piss your pants over another game.
for a team that’s not your rival. There’s been enough Bama posters starting LSU threads pissing and moaning and crying about LSU all off-season. I think depending on the day of the week LSU may or may not be arrival or it depends how your season is going.
But tell us again how many national championships Alabama claims lol

LSU vs Arkansas was the epitome of forced and manufactured.
For comparison.
LSU and Arkansas have only played 7 more times than LSU vs TAMU despite Arkansas being in the conference for 20 more years.
Prior to Arkansas joining in 92 the last time LSU played Arkansas was 1966 cotton bowl and before that was 1956. Almost 40 years without playing each other.
LSU vs TAMU on the other hand was played 50x prior to TAMU joining the SEC. I believe the longest break was from 95-2011. And there’s no stretch of only playing once like there was with arky from 56-92. Hell we’ve played TAMU more than Auburn
On top of that there is substantially more shared footprint in the SETX south Louisiana oil community.
Additionally Aggy has all the potential of a big 6 program.
Despite the rants protests LSU TAMU makes sense and works. In fact I’d wager Aggies probably consider us their number 2, certainly their number 2 in the SEC.
Arky on the other hand was a forced thing because at the time we shared an border and didn’t have an intrastate rival.

You make a good argument. But don’t get carried away with TV ratings. Anytime teams are contending for an NC, viewership is high. I’ll bet, in Saban’s early years at Bama, Bama-Fla games were the highest rated.

Just because CBS decided the game was worthy of the primetime slot doesn’t make it real.LSU has as many loses by 29 as they have wins in the last ten years. And in those primetime games, LSU only won twice. Including multiples loses by 28+ and back to back shutouts at home. Honestly LSU/Auburn is more of a rivalry than Alabama/LSU.
Ok, tell me all about how competitive the Tennessee game has been in the last 20 years.
And if you want to tell me “it’s about history, not just the last 20 years.” Then your comment about LSU and Auburn makes no sense. LSU has played Auburn less than anyone else in the former Western division and less than A&M/Florida. You think that because LSU/Auburn was one of the bigger SEC games every year for 10-15 years. That sounds familiar doesn’t it?

I've always been an advocate for playing more [conference] games. But if you play more games, I think you have to get the three fixed [opponents] right. They're giving us Tennessee, Auburn and LSU. I don't know how they come to that [decision]

As stated before I just want a big 6 matchup but yeah their reasoning is beyond laughable.
It only matters because the last 20 years Saban was here………yeah…that’s how rivalries happen. You either are in the same state or there is a prolonged period of significant bad blood.
Also the Bama state game is some indispensable piece of history despite it being played 10 less times than MSST LSU

I don't think bama fans are sad if LSU stays a permanent game.
Huge, huge variable you're leaving out of this. Saban is no longer there. Alabama will never be the same again. So you really just have 1 game which Deboer won but LSU would much rather have an annual matchup vs Deboer than Saban. As much as Bama fans want to convince themselves it will go back to the way it was. It never will. Bama will probably become another LSU. 9-3, then an occasional season they go off. Nothing wrong with that. If you can win a Nati once every 8 or so years, then you're doing very well as a program.

Why would they want to change? I love LSU but they owned our asses.
