Well Arky would owe us Gus and any assistants not retained buyout money. So we might have to come out of pocket about 2-3 million.

My problem is that there are a lot of guys like Campbell and Norvell who I really like but I'd like to see another year or 2 from each.

I would also, but Campbell did a good job at Toledo and it translated to the best ISU team in years. He is young and Saban is damn near 70, The timing would be right for him to have a long tenure at AU if he were to do well. He has won everywhere he has been. Even as a player at Mt Union was on 3 D III National Champ teams.

I mean, I wouldn't turn down Chip

But I doubt he'd pick Auburn and he'd be an awkward fit anyway

He's going to be awkward wherever he goes because he's weird, but some are more suitable than others IMO

There would be some interesting names out there.

- Chad Morris would make me nervous if I was an Auburn fan. Like Petti said, I'd want to see the rest of this year and 1 more of improvement before I went there.

- A guy like Taggart would be interesting as he appears to very much want to come back South

- Gundy seems like he's still teetering at OSU with his relationship with TBP and the administration there

- Venables matched up with one of the Clemson Co-OCs?
