I'd say Matt Campbell. Though I'd hate having to face him every year at Auburn, he'd make that team the most hard-nosed team in America.

We'd probably settle with our DL coach, Garner.

Their top 3 choices will likely be in no certain order:

Jimbo
Muschamp
Petrino

if they can't get any of those they will end up with someone from a lower tier power 5 school.

No way.

Jimbo, yes. But Muschamp - while doing a fine job at South Carolina - is not a premiere candidate anymore.

The Petrino-to-Auburn move is never going to happen. Ever.

Someone who becomes the next Saban while we’re stuck with sweater vested, whirly bird play calling, stupid face making, less than zero personality, deeply disturbed sociopath Gus. Can not wait.

I don't understand the Arkansas logic. Y'all loved Bert when he was winning in the worst P5 conference. Now y'all can get an established coach in the sec and y'all don't want him.

Chad Morris would get a serious look hopefully. He runs Malzahn's offense (some would say better than Malzahn) so there shouldn't even be a hiccup transitioning the scheme and personnel.

First off, I speak for only me. There are some that do want him.

I’ve never liked Gus and never will and I’d rather take a chance on someone fresh.

I always wondered how he'd do at a college program. He turned Hoover into a juggernaut, created a national buzz about his team, and developed a ton of players for the next level. He also mentored and trained Jeremy Pruitt, who is one of the best defensive coordinators in the country.

Would we have to provide the 2nd family or would he find his own in Auburn?

Bill Belichick is the obvious answer here. The master comes back to beat the student.

Scott Frost
Gary Patterson (has tried to get the Auburn job twice)
Chad Morris (maybe)
Justin Fuente (not sure he'd leave Va Tech after 1 year)

Brady about to retire because of wifey's CTE complaints, so he will have our new QB coach coming with him.

this reminds me - why did Saban never take Chiz or Gus duck hunting?

I thought this was state of Alabama tradition

WTF?

You are Auburn lets not pretend you will be hiring a premiere candidate. The guys I listed all have previous connections to Auburn and 2 of them are very good coaches.
