At some point you have to do more than build. It is a legitimate question that recruits and their families and coaches will start asking. Why should I go to UGA only to lose to Bama? Kirby will need response for those who are not automatically sold on Georgia.
Same reason kids go to LSU, Ohio State, or any other place. Not everyone wants to go to Alabama. There are like 4-5 kids per year max that come down to UGA vs Bama head to head.

Kirb is obsessed with bringing multiple championships to UGA. UGA has always recruited itself the next guy will have no problem cause the institution sells the grander picture than just 3-4 years playing in college.
I believe he is developing a rivalry with Saban trying to overthrow him. Probably some bad blood there from his last season at Bama and he uses that as motivation.
I don't see him as an NFL coach any time soon. Similar to Saban, he may spend the majority of his career at the collegiate level.

It's amazing that ohio state, texas, lsu, etc were able to get any good recruits during their 30-40 year title droughts.
UGA is clearly very close to taking another step, they can easily pitch to an elite person that he coudl be the difference. This really isn't rocket science.

can you list all the head coaches who won a national title within their first 4 years of becoming a head coach? I can think of one right off the top of my head, Jimbo Fisher. That is about it.
There’s actually been a lot. OU has had 3 do it.

If you go to Bama, odds are Jeremy Pruitt will be your coach after 1 year.

I'd say that Pruitt's HC stock has fallen..........like the market in '08.

I agree that to criticize KS at this point is ridiculous, OTOH, to compare the situation that he stepped into with that of NS or DS is just as ridiculous.
